Playing for the Philippines would be a great way of solidifying his overseas fan base. He'd become a mega star if he can make them somewhat competitive.

He'd also get to play with Kobe... well, a different Kobe.

Kobe Paras has a legit shot to make it in the NBA in my opinion.

I think so too. Will be happy watching him at UCLA.

According to this link, the Lakers have given Clarkson permission to play the first 3 games of FIBA Asia:

Honestly that's pretty pathetic, ESPN just wants the rights to the video to 'spin' for their agenda to (bleep) on Kobe. ESPN has next to no credibility anymore. I can't wait to see who they try and use for hits when Kobe retires.

I want to say 21m (that's the projected rookie max)? Not sure about that but I don't honestly see him getting that much money.

Only if the Lakers want to max him with cap room. Because he's an Arenas free agent, other teams can only offer him the MLE for two years, with up to the max for the last two years (and they have to have the average in cap room). LA can match that and only the actual salary counts against the cap for them. Or he can take the qualifying offer of 2.7 mil and become a restricted free agent with full bird rights in 2017.
