Any real possibility of signing DH12 next season?

Yea D12 will come back to the Lakers in 2016 and say that "Houston was like college" and will join the team taking a paycut so that we sign Durant and Kobe would then announce that the 2016-2017 season will be his last and re-sign with us for one more season.

Dwight was definitely worth the previous contract Lakers offered and he got from HOU.

However his next contract, he could command up to 30 M a year.I wouldn't take Dwight at that kind of money. I rate him one of the best bigs in terms of impact in all of basketball, the best, when healthy.

That's ignoring, I doubt he wants to leave Houston. Only way I see him considering leaving HOU is if HOU offers him 20M a year and some idiot GM gives him the grandfathered max which for Dwight I believe is about 30 M a year from 2016 onward. Thankfully we won't be that idiotic team that offers him the 30 M a year type of max he qualifies for.

That title made me feel all these emotions at the same time. I think I've discovered a feeling that I've never felt before.

Even if he had never played for the Lakers, if we had no past story, I wouldn't like it. He's not the same anymore, injury prone and not that dominant when healthy. I'd rather stick with Hibbert.

The Lakers should look into Dwight K. Schrute instead. He has the strength of a grown man and a little baby.

Not a chance.

As a fan I can only hope the FO just laughs at the idea as much as I am. Howard is such an unfocused clown. I was never a big fan of the trade from the beginning. Hated how he acted as a Laker. So many examples of him being a mentally soft player.

He fulfilled all my worst opinions of him at a Nuggets/Rockets game last year. He had been messing around with the Nuggets mascot during timeouts on several occasions. Game was still in question in the fourth quarter and he started playing to the crowd and clowning around again.

He was all the way across the floor, team and coaches were yelling for him to the point they actually had to send an assistant to go get him for the huddle. He missed the huddle. You could see how pissed McHale was from the nosebleed seats. Howard was oblivious and kept clowning around as they went back to the floor.

That is Howard in a nutshell. Even when he is healthy.

No chance of this happening. Dwight isn't going to leave a top 5 player in Harden.

not sure what the hate is all about. dh12 didnt get along with kobe the same way 80% of all-stars wouldn't. pau was within a small pool of all-star level players that was patient enough to play with kobe. shaw, karl malone, GP all couldnt handle kobe. not saying kobe is the bad guy here, but it's time to move on. hopefully he retires gracefully here and we dont get in the mindset that guys like shaq or dh12 were in the wrong bc they didnt get along with kobe.

dh12 is a good player and deserves $20 mil/yr for next 3 years at least
