Any real possibility of signing DH12 next season?

Dwight was definitely worth the previous contract Lakers offered and he got from HOU.

However his next contract, he could command up to 30 M a year.I wouldn't take Dwight at that kind of money. I rate him one of the best bigs in terms of impact in all of basketball, the best, when healthy.

That's ignoring, I doubt he wants to leave Houston. Only way I see him considering leaving HOU is if HOU offers him 20M a year and some idiot GM gives him the grandfathered max which for Dwight I believe is about 30 M a year from 2016 onward. Thankfully we won't be that idiotic team that offers him the 30 M a year type of max he qualifies for.

Wow, you took this seriously.

I wanted to be different, knowing pretty much everyone else was going to rant at the OP

Didn't want him when we did trade for him. Guy will go down as a loser, he doesn't have the heart to be as good as he could be. And that was when he was relatively healthy, I think the number of 75+ games played seasons we see from him the rest of his career will be 0.

not sure what the hate is all about. dh12 didnt get along with kobe the same way 80% of all-stars wouldn't. pau was within a small pool of all-star level players that was patient enough to play with kobe. shaw, karl malone, GP all couldnt handle kobe. not saying kobe is the bad guy here, but it's time to move on. hopefully he retires gracefully here and we dont get in the mindset that guys like shaq or dh12 were in the wrong bc they didnt get along with kobe.

dh12 is a good player and deserves $20 mil/yr for next 3 years at least

Dwight Howard absolutely was in the wrong.

It wasn't just Kobe that Dwight didn't get along with. We saw on camera Dwight arguing with Steve Nash. The entire team was frustrated with him and his antics.

Dwight Howard has proven that he's not a franchise player. Both in his ability on the court and his mentality. This guy talking about being a winner and a champion after losing a playoff series. We've also seen him get intentionally ejected from games numerous times.

I gotta give you props VLF. You were one of the few people around here that NEVER wanted Dwight to be a Lakers. You had him pegged dead to rights before most others did. Most of us gave Dwight the benefit of the doubt and chalked up all the drama surrounding him to a dysfunctional organization and his limitations as a player to him being forced to do too much.
