Good confidence building game. We'll see if it translates to NBA competition...

My guess is that J. Brown and Frazier played themselves off the team tonight.

Hopefully this translates to them having confidence and I think Russell is flashy smooth. Cause his pass looks flashy but smooth where it looks not as flashy. The game seems simple for him.

Cut Sacre, sign Black, Marcelo, Metta, Upshaw

Lineup

D'angelo Russell / Marcelo Huertas
Jordan Clarkson / Lou Williams
Kobe Bryant / Nick Young / Metta World Peace / Anthony Brown
Julius Randle / Brandon Bass / Ryan Kelly / Larry Nance Jr.
Roy Hibbert / Tarik Black / Robert Upshaw

Roster of 15

Anthony Brown, Larry Nance Jr., Robert Upshaw to get minutes in the D-League. The other 12 are the active roster.

That's the way to go imo.

I think were all pretty close on the same page on the final roster. Hope the Lakers agree

I have no problem with a rotation of Roy, black, upshaw. Individually not the best but as a group I don't think there is much better.

It's pretty obvious, though. Jabari Brown is gone. Just way, way too much of a ball stopper for me. Frazier and Holmes were always meant to be camp fodder. People watched the draftexpress scouting reports and got excited lol.

Huertas, for me, is only still there (even though he hasn't played a single game yet) because it's obvious the second unit needs a point guard. Lou Williams can handle the ball but isn't a distributor. The bench looked way better with a legit point guard (Russell) running things than they ever did with Lou Williams doing it (and that's not a knock on Lou as a player.. just as a point guard lol)

Then again, the team they played against looked terrible tonight.. so.. idk.

If the Lakers can replicate what they did tonight against Sacramento on Tuesday.. I'll be ecstatic.

I'm also not fully against the Lakers cutting Robert Sacre anymore in favor of Tarik Black lol.

Robert, to me was a feel good story. Last pick of the draft who stuck with a team. Genuine good guy. The post game interviews with Nick Young always made me smile lol.

I changed my mind about waiving Ryan Kelly. Keep him. Jabari hasn't been playing well in the pre-season. Cut Jabari, Sacre, Fraizer and Holmes.

I think I might keep Kelly now but cut Anthony Brown too. He seems to be invisible on the court. Don't want another Wesley Johnson, especially one less athletic.

Keep that roster at 14.

Was at the game. Randle has that it factor. I don't know how to explain it but when he was out there you could tell. Russel had done sick passes and nice pull up 3. Very cool and calm out there but doesn't have that feel You gets watching randle. Overall great game Haifa was overmatched so fun to see us dominate

I think.

When DeAngelo Russell is in there there is ball and player movement. Just like
the Spurs and GSW. Lots of open and easy shots caused by ball movement.

The style Russell brings the style of GWS and Spurs. Team play. And team defense.

Get rid of the ball stoppers. This is key. J. Brown. out, A. Brown?
Young may be on fence for he can shoot even though wild shots.

Get Clarkson, Kobe, Lou, and Young to buy into the new motion offense.

It will play off.
