Damn big Roy has been impressive on both ends of the floor so far. Keep up the good work! _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

Love what I've seen so far. We all knew about the defensive presence, but I'm impressed with his work on the boards and even more impressed with his passing ability. |

Plus he has a dependable jumpshot and is 80% from the FT line. |

He also explained that he was asked to play differently in Indy, but didn't offer details. Here he knows his role is to defend and rebound, and obviously he has no problem with that. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

I've been impressed with how active he has been crashing the glass. I think this season he'll average double digit rebounds. |

It's going to be great to have a legit center again. We've been seriously undersized the last 2 years. We don't have a ton of size outside of Hibbert, but at least we have some bruisers in Randle, Bass and Black. |

Hibbert was a mystery to me. However, he is a 2 time all star and if the Lakers could wipe the slate for him and let him do his runner up to DPOY play, he is going to be huge. _________________ Because we're better than you! |

Loving the way Hibberts playing. I just get nervous every time he hits the floor, and it seems like he's on the floor a lot. |

He's been very durable throughout his career. Only one season below 70 games played. |

Hibbert been great what a great steal in off season by Mitch. If he keeps this up the Lakers need to pay the man to long term contract he still fairly young he could be future center of Lakers down the road 5-6 years. He looks great to me much faster and more agile it looks like he lost some weight and looks rejuvenated and motivated. |

Plus, I think a great deal of those falls are purposeful. When Roy is a bit off balanced and doesn't feel comfortable with the way he's going to land, it seems like he falls so that the impact is spread over his body rather than being absorbed completely by his ankles and knees. |

Hibbert sore knee did not practice, Lakers sent him to see Dr. Lombardo. Probable for tomorrow. |

Honestly, I think he's the best player on the team right now. Julius, Jordan, D'Angelo, Lou, and Kobe will have their moments, but I think Roy will be the most consistent player throughout the season. One of the biggest criticisms for him when he was on Indiana was his rebounding, but he's been doing really well in that department. His 7'2 body gives him the ability to see over the defender and pass to open cutters and he can get the ball down low and shoot an occasional hook shot. Obviously his defense is phenomenal. |

He has way more skills on offense than he is showing (not really getting post touches) People forget he averaged 17 a game in the playoffs 2 years ago _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' Hope he doesn't play himself out of a 3y/50m deal I was hoping the Lakers could resign him to _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' I like his old school mentality...he, along with Kobe and MWP, will teach our young guys to play with toughness and fight. Randle, in particular, already has that in his character. |

Here, I put the link in for you.

By the way, folks here will love this gem:

Hope he's OK. I'm loving the fact that we might finally have a legit rim protector since god knows when. _________________ “God knew they couldn’t be on this Earth without each other. He had to bring them home to have them together.” – Vanessa Bryant |

Can't hate a guy that's showing more attitude in pre-season than our bigs have had in over a decade.

Just wished we could of locked him into a 3 year extension before the market goes crazy next summer _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' Not sure we could do it this year. Nevertheless, let's see him over 82 games. It's just the preseason (he's looking great).
It's just refreshing for once to get a big man who anchors our defense. After watching Jordan Hill/Boozer do so last year, I am grateful. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

There is this bambie element to his play.
Like a baby deer just learning to walk.
He's done a great job so far.
Is he falling because of his weak core? Or to prevent a leg injury? I dunno...it seems like he goes down pretty easy doh. |
