Yeah. And it's the second unit with Huertas who give Lakers the lead and good momentum(not the starters). And this is just a pre season game and Warriors are without their key players.

The difference here is Huertas as he stabilizes the second unit. In the previous games the second unit self destruct.

Was there for this one. Disappointed Kobe didn't play and that they cut the game short (when the Lakers were up by 15!) but that Nance dunk was worth the price of admission.

how are you sure about that?

Watching Lakers postgame show and they showed an announcement. Probably on the Lakers twitter account.

Yeah I just saw it on their Twitter. Nice gesture because it's not something they're required to do.
I just noticed it as well. I hope I can get it on Monday. Was a good game.

I'm not sure which amazes me more, that neither team realized the problem with the floor before the game, or that it took them nearly 3 quarters of play to realize it.

It seems strange that we've never had a problem at Staples Center, where the Lakers and Clippers both play on basketball courts that rest atop the ice of the LA Kings hockey team.

it might be the condition of the stadium. Newer stadiums might have better technology to keep the stadium dry

I remember that playoff game against OKC a few years ago where they kept blaming the players slipping on the ice beneath the court. Westbrook had a pretty bad fall in that one.

I don't even let the people that say "oh we're better without Kobe" get to me, because then when we lose 10 straight after winning the one game they found their soapbox for they go subsequently missing.

Treat them like a relative that owes you money. You see what they're saying, but you've heard this story before and know the outcome.

Because the guy states the obvious that he doesn't like when for some bizarre reason you find "only on message boards" Laker fans who seem to wait for instances to hate on Kobe you play the Kobeground BS? From the look of it this place is more NBAground than Lakersground. You see this BS on general boards. How much you want bet this SVG clown hasn't even veer been to a Lakers game? Que scripted reply how he has. Show Kobe respect or you just start being a fan in April 2013?

I just gonna reply once on this topic. Don't want to waste my time on this. I only replied because the poster I quoted sounded like he/she is more concern about negative comments toward Kobe after a win to a point he/she dislikes any win without Kobe's participation. Now if that's not definition of kobeground i don't know what is

I don't know why some people are so afraid of him being criticized. He has his style of play and it has come with a lot of success and he has received a ton of accolades for that. By going against the grain and playing 1 on 5 sometimes, he has helped the team win a lot of games they should have lost. Along the way, he has also shot them out of games they should have won. He's not perfect and no player ever has been.

Winning without him should be viewed as a good thing. It means that Byron doesn't have to try to ride him into the ground to win games.

Laker fans should be happy to see the team play well without Kobe. He's on his way to retirement.

We need a D Fish to take charge and give the team confidence to ward off Kobe's "gimme da damn ball" rants.

I think we're going to see a new Kobe this season. I believe he'll be more of a facilitator. At least that's my hope.

Good call, calling the game. Someone could have been hurt slipping the way players were.

As has been noted many times, Kobe has given the ball when there is actually a NBA player on the court.

Would you throw the ball to Sacre that is wide open as oppose to The Black mamba - who has the better chance of making the shot - duh

This kind of mentality is the reason why no one wants to come play for the lakers. I'll guarantee you if you put LeBron on last years squad that's a playoff team Who's Kobe to judge whether a player is or is not nba ready, the has no rights to do that. As a leader he should instead play with what he was dealt and maximize the talents around him, not abandoning them altogether just because he thinks he's so far better than them. By the way I'd take a wide open Sacre lay up over kobe's 1 on 3 contested jumper any day

I don't remember that. What year was that?

And I'm assuming you meant to say that the players were slipping on the court, due to the ice beneath the court, not that they were slipping on the ice itself.

It was the year they lost to OKC. The Mike Brown year if I remember right. And yes, they were slipping on the court and the ice rink underneath the court was blamed for it, much like the game last night.

Okay - you're my freaking hero!

Because of your link I was able to watch the game and knock back a few shots of tequila with my old man. Precious times.

I went back to re-watch the game a bit later and the link was gone. You provided us the right link at exactly the right time.

Just thought that was worth pointing out. You rule. Thanks again.

For something like that, you're better off just PM'ing him so it stays around awhile.

Otherwise thanks for that, and it's good that Vegas was able to get some good times out of it.

I don't agree in how that fan responded to you but I will just say that I love the fact that winning isn't good enough to the average laker fan.. I love that the lakers win. but to do so when we when we decimate a worthy opponent and when we have all are players play is a great thing to see.
