Awful.
Wasn't even supposed to be a cancer that would lead to this (initial diagnosis).

RIP.
Seemed like a really nice guy.

I wonder if the Lakers are planning some kind of tribute since they are playing the Lakers on opening night.

He must have been much sicker than what the team let on over the summer or had cancer in other parts of his body. The lifespan of a diagnosis of lymphoma is usually far greater than 6 months.

It was only last December when Flip congratulated Kobe at the Target Center for passing Jordan on the scoring list. Incredibly sad year for basketball.

That was such a classy move by the Wolves franchise. Flip always came off as a basketball junkie. He loved to teach, and when I think of him I envision him on the sidelines pointing and yelling out directions. You could tell he just loved basketball. Tragic news. RIP, coach.

From reading an article, he had one treatment left, and then suddenly contracted pneumonia, and ended up being in a coma for 6 weeks. He was being treated at the Mayo Clinic, which is one of, if not the best, hospital in the country, especially for cancer.
