Find a cheaper mac, and use the $199 to buy LP. If you can shell out $1500 as a student, you def can $199 bro. The other option is to find someone who is buying league pass. You can pay half the price and get the mobile access while they get the TV access.

nbaliveonlinetv/streaming and firstrow are the two i have used in the past

This sounds like an easy fix. Dropping it, and not knowing what hardware is damaged would have been much harder to diagnose. Clean you PC first with Virus programs, malware, etc. You can also time travel back to when you never streamed those sites by doing a system restore. If that doesn't work, I'm sure a fresh install of you OS will fix it.

Never heard of anyone buying a new computer because a streaming site destroyed their drive. LOL!

Well, could be the site had viruses or whatever. Most of these streaming sites have a lot of porn on them. YOu have to reject a lot of them before you can even start streaming the games. One wrong click and you have no idea wahts installed on your PC.

But you still don't buy a new pc because of that. Worst case scenario, is a brand new hard drive.

I've been trying to figure out a way or combination of ways to be able to watch all the NBA games. It's not so easy. Here are some tidbits I found on reddit, I didn't even know about ballstreams until this thread!

regarding League Pass:
Quote:
Essentially you can't watch any national broadcast games (ESPN, TNT, etc) or any local games. For example, if you live in the Cleveland area you'd only get to watch 29/82 games on League Pass this year.

so no Laker games and no popular games. sheesh. that means you can only get Laker games on TWC. correct?

Quote:
As far as I can tell (and i've looked high and low), TNT does not have any app. ABC does, but I haven't tried it. I picked up an OTA (over the air antenna) for about $40. I get PBS, CBS, NBC, FOX, and ABC in full 1080p. I'd look at r/cordcutters for more info. My concern is the TNT games. Most likely just going to go with League Pass.

EDIT: As far as I can tell (and i've looked high and low on Roku), TNT does not have any app. ABC does, but I haven't tried it.

actually TNT does have an app. So TNT and ABC are covered.

So what does that leave? ESPN?

if you're in LA and want to watch Laker games...then NBA League pass is NOT for you. GO with ballstreams. League Pass is only good for out of market games. So if you live in another state and want to follow the Lakers...then League Pass is totally worth it.

For cord cutters Sling TV will get you ESPN as well as TNT.

Ballstreams has an issue with billing right now, they're working on it and new registrations should be up in about one to two weeks. Current users who have accounts are expiring will have to wait until billing is fixed to renew.

I haven't bought league pass in a bunch of years. So local games are blacked out, how could one get around this? I'll be traveling a lot during the season and some of the time out of the country. Can you stream games outside the US?

Yes, you can (well, at least in the Asian region, not sure about Europe). I'm from the Philippines and League pass is the only way I get to watch all of the Lakers games on game day. (there's always free streaming but those are unreliable.)

I've tried it in Hong Kong and South Korea and league pass works well.

I highly doubt that streaming online content lead to a hard drive failure. I hope you didn't get this from the Genius Bar...

Don't buy a new computer... Do you have an iMac or MacBook?
