I decided to go back to school after a few years off, and for one of my projects I almost did a paper about LG. So, yeah, I am one of those who would also like to know more about LG.

And I will admit, this is my favorite site on the Inter-Web-Net.

In a nutshell (correct me if I'm wrong on this):

There was a sports site called Rivals back in the day that had message boards for all the teams. LakersGround.com was the lakers board on rivals, JasonLG was the mod. Then Rivals was gonna close, but Jason liked the community and decided to move LG.com to LG.net. And then stuff happened for years and years and here we are.

Jason would be the best source of information... However, I seem to remember Jason telling us, about the history... I seem to remember something about Jason deciding to start an internet site, even before Rivals... So, actually, there is a pre-Rivals version, I believe... I believe LakersGround went by another name, originally.

I get frustrated, trying to remember when I first joined LakersGround... I know LakersGround was with Rivals, but I can't remember the exact year, that I joined... It had to be before Elden Campbell left..

I remember complaining, about why we didn't trade Elden...

I started some time in '96. I used to frequent the ESPN message boards and someone (JD or angrypuppy I think) who posted there advertised LG because that place was getting overrun with idiots. Checked it out and never left.
