Frankly, I don't care about the kids themselves, or about anyone's personal life.
I want to know the important things:
Are you raising them to be Lakers' fans? Do you buy them Lakers' gear and products? Instead of blue or pink stuff when they were born, did you get them purple and gold?
Me? I have no kids, and I am happy to keep it that way. _________________ Courage doesn't always roar.

I have an eight-year-old son;
some of his earliest words were Laker oriented...
When there was a game on, he would point at the tv and go "KobeShaq, KobeShaq."
I have a portrait studio photo of him at 6 months rocking the Kobe Jersey holding a minature ball;
He got to go to his first Laker game when he was four; I sprung for tickets just a few rows back at mid-court, and he still remembers it clearly.
He has every variety of Kobe jersey, and his room is decorated in Laker gear (pillows, blankets, banners, clock, even the trash can).
As long as his homework is done, he is allowed to stay up late for Laker games, and maybe just a bit of the SCSR wrap up as well (if it was a good game).
So yea, he is being raised to represent. Actually, he didn't need much prompting, and he is a loyal fan all on his own already |

I considered that, but it didn't go well with my last name;
his best friend is named Kobe, ironically. |

Forget the kids...I'm still trying to train my girlfriend to be a Laker fan. She's not real into basketball and during the playoffs she said her favorite player was Steve Nash. I know, I know, I almost broke up with her right there. In her defense, when Raja Bell roped Kobe she jumped up and yelled "Someone should kick that guy's (bleep)!".
I just got her to agree to go to all the games they're playing in the area this season. She's not feeling the Kobe jersey I'm trying to get her to wear to the games though.
Anyway, I feel it's important to train her now, so that if one day a kid appears, there won't be any resistance. |

My kids ( 8 and 11) are both Laker fans, we watch games together. I used the score during games to teach them addition and subtraction. My wife's family are all huge Laker fans as well. I will never forget that we were all together for some family function and watched the Lakers beat the Kings in OT of Game 7 way back when. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Me and my girlfriend,also a Laker fan, had always said if we had a baby and it was a boy his name would be Kobe. Now 2 weeks from the newest Laker fan being born and she's changed the name to Nick. I've fought back and lost everytime. Any great Laker players named "Nicholas" other than Van Exel. _________________ When they ask me about Shaq, I say, 'I love Shaq, but [screw] Miami.' Hey, I'm a NVE fan, so I don't think you can go wrong there .
That said, I found this interesting site that shows Laker players through history: http://www.lakersplayers.org/
I think your best bets are:
- Saying the kid is named after Norm Nixon
- Saying the kid is named after Jack Nicholson since he's a huge Lakers fan |

Time to dump her. How can you ever trust her again? _________________ I got a fever....and the only prescription is more cowbell.
