The whole woe-is-me routine with him and his fans (who, like him, tend to be more privileged than their peers) has been one of the least enjoyable aspects of the last five years of NBA basketball.

As far as I can tell, Lin has done nothing to deserve that label.
If he has, I would love to see a link.

Would appreciate a link to Lin doing a woe-is-me routine.

lol, no reading between the lines, he's saying that his former two teams had ball dominant shooting guards that didn't pass him the ball and had systems that did not allow him to play his game which is coming off screens and the pick and roll. Now he has team mates that are unselfish and pass the ball.

Think Warriors and Spurs

LOL! Should be a boxer, you have a nice reach. I'm not a big Lin fan. I've seen enough to know he's going to be a career journeyman. But this thread is ridiculous. Did it ever to some of you that if that was his message, then most likely it was directed at Carmelo Anthony? Melo, was the most outspoken person about how ridiculous Lin's contract was. That could easily translate into someone who doesn't want to see you succeed. In Houston, he was in a dogfight with Patrick Beverley for the starting spot, so I could see how Beverley wouldn't want him to succeed.

I don't see the comment directed at the Lakers at all. Clarkson is a nice dude, and although Ronnie Price was BS's favorite, Price is too old to play silly games. Lin's been on record too saying he wanted to go back to NY this summer, but the interest wasn't mutual. NBA players never like to admit teams don't' want or are not interested. It makes you less desirable. Lin doesn't have that ego, so he speaks freely about NY not wanting him. Doesn't seem to have a mean bone in his body. There are plenty of players in the NBA that deserves your hatorade. Lin's not one of them. BTW, any Taiwanese person I've ever met in my life, have all been Christians. It's deep rooted in them.

So much for that 7-1 pre-season record, back to reality now.

It may be weird, me being an atheist, but I think his Christianity is real and heart felt. Oh, and he did go to harvard.

This dude doesn't have a mean bone in his body and that's what is limiting him. I mean get some tats, develop an attitude and don't back down when another player punks you. Next play, be like Ginobili and lay an elbow or forearm in the guy's face next time you go for a rebound or steal.

Maybe he'll always be a journeyman or come off the bench but if he can play and contribute like Ginobili, he'll have a nice career.

FYI

Jeremy Lin has a 19.0 PER through the first 5 games of the season. Excellent start of the year for him in this regard.

Look at who they played vs who we played.

Hell, just look at Dallas.

Lin fans calling for Lin to displace Kemba should be a nice topic of discussion for Hornets boards.

Best of luck...to the Hornets board mods.

I heard he has his own sub-board.

he has his own sub board that the mod locks away Lin Only fans and doesn't let them "post" anywhere else on the forum, though they can view threads.

If they prove themselves as more than Lin Only Fans then the mod gives them more freedom. till then they get locked away in the sub forum where they can discuss Lin all they want =P

was pretty smart actually.

He is playing well obviously but I don't believe he would be having the same success here with this situation.

The last thing the Lakers need is yet another PG. Can you imagine the disaster of managing Clarkson, Russ and Lin would have been for BScott?
They need ONE clear cut point guard.
Byron clearly rolls with that PG.
We'd be best off with Russell at PG, Huertas or some scrub backing him up, and our assets used to fill major gaps in talent in other positions. We've got no real starting caliber PF, or a starting caliber SF. Kobe's always going to be a gunner/2 guard. He's not a SF/athletic wing at this juncture.

BTW, I liked Lin. Good for him, seems like a nice guy.

Revisiting this topic since I want to see if his team choice has gone for the better, looks like the Hornets are pretty terrible right now. Ok, their not as bad as the Lakers, but they play in the eastern conference and have gone downhill it seems.

Outside of Linsanity, I don't think Jeremy Lin is a player that's really going to swing a team one way or the other in any significant fashion. Hornets are flailing because Al Jefferson has missed 21 game so far this season. They won a respectable 12 of the 19 games he's played in and only 6 of the 21 games he's missed.
