It picked up towards the end but yeah season 1 was awful. I kept waiting for them to start to explain what the heck happened or what the heck was going on but they never did. I haven't watched season 2 yet but I'm gonna give it a shot.

No one knows what happened or what's going on. Think that's the point of the show and we'll never get answers.

Then the show won't make it past season 2.

Ok, season 2 has been the most epic must watch TV of this Fall. Multiple episodes, on a row, have been simply masterpieces. IGN has been handing out 10/10s like no big deal with this show. Anyone not watching, I know it's boring at first but oh man it gets so much better.

I completely gave up on the show near the end of season 1.
The show was all about the internal struggles people faced because of something unexplained, that already happened. But season 2, new events are happening.
Season 1 was all questions and feelings. Season 2 has answers and intriguing events.
Leftovers frustrated the (bleep) out of me season 1.
But I trusted dmorans, and he was right. Season 2 is muuuuuuuch better.

Binge watch season 2 of the Leftovers on HBOGO. It's worth it.
The ratings for the show have spiked. TIME has it as a top 10 show for this year.

And the series comes to a close.

One of the top shows in recent years and one of the top HBO shows and that's saying a lot. I'm gonna miss this one.

Really enjoyed the first two seasons but haven't really gotten in to the 3rd as much. I'm 3 episodes in.

Weird because that seems like the opposite opinion of others in this thread
