HDTV help..?

Getting an HD set for my birthday. Anyone have valuable info regarding Plasma vs LCD? Leaning towards LCD for the lifespan difference, but plasma seems to look better. Though, plasma seems to be cheaper due to a high demand of LCDs.

I haven't really been so worried about getting an HD set until recently when I saw a video of NBA 2K7 in HD. Then, it was like "Why have I waited so long?".

All opinions/info/suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

About a year ago I got a DLP tv then a Plasma TV.
THe lifetime issue with the Plasma does suck, but it's worth it.
Anyways, between LCD/DLP tvs and Plasma sets.. all of high quality, but one thng that I found really annoying was the glare issue with the DLP/LCD. There's a lot of glare when looking from the angles. I don't know how much of it had to do with the setup in my house, but when i returned it and got the plasma, I could watch from any angle without the glare.
