You must be mistaken.

Macs are a gift from the gods. They never crash. They never break.

And they come pre-loaded with every single bit of software, for every single task, you could possibly ever want to complete.

You might believe you have a Mac... but its probably a PC.

It could be that your new ram isn't working. Try to remove the new ram and see if the Mac turns on. If it does, power down and remove the old ram and insert the new ram. See if it turns on. If not, it's probably the ram not being good.

If the Mac does turn on, try putting in the old ram with the new one and see if it works. If it doesn't, it sounds like it could be your power supply. Beyond that, I don't know. Need more info about what is happening.

Buy a pc.

Just messing. I'd reccommend trying it with the old ram again, or Googling it online.

You are being sarcastic. Just want to make sure.

As others have stated here it sounds like the memory is bad or not compatible.

If you're absolutely sure the memory is compatible and working (pulled from another machine) it could also be the configuration of the memory. Macs are a little picky about it.

ie. on my G5 - slots 1 and 3 have to have the same type of memory and slots 2 and 4 have to have the same size of ram. Initially when I just popped in additional ram in slots 3 and 4 I had the same problem you did. I changed the arrangement of the modules and there was no probs after that.
