I actually fell asleep some time at the start of the 3rd tonight. Was just a terrible, terrible game in the first half and the 3rd didn't start off much more interesting either.

It looked basically like D-League ball, the only thing that looked nice to me at all in the first half was Okafor's post game.

That pass from Russell was nice, I wish we had an offense that would let him showcase his creative passing. Seems like we only see it on the break

Fell asleep somewhere in the fourth quarter. Even the excitement of watching the young kids play isn't enough to overcome the horrible basketball product that the Lakers are.

The game displayed that they are better than the 76ers at this time and confirmed that stockpiling lottery draft choices along with just letting them play (ala Clippers) is not the road to building a legitimate title-contending team
No, it merely confirms that getting as many centers as possible is probably a bad idea. They had Noel, lets say that they didn't waste a pick on Embiid or Okafor. They could have paired Noel with Mudiay or Porzingis. They could have moved the Embiid pick for perimeter help instead of going with a guy with known health concerns when they already had a big with a serious injury from the season before.

It isn't the tanking in and of itself that is necessarily the problem--you'd just sure as hell better make rational draft picks if you're doing it. Philly hasn't. And the current plan simply seems to stay bad long enough that they get a shot at a truly transcendent talent that will take them immediately to contention.
If they had made your choices, their fans would have crucified their FO because your selections weren't as touted or talented (injuries aside)

Since Embid is injured, Okafor was the best choice

Mudiay is having problems and Prozingus is another big (albeit a skin stretch big)

Thanks DB. Missed both wins - glad to hear DLO and Clarkson are looking at film together. I think their greatest strengths are complimentary, and Clarkson especially could have some amazing games in store if things start to click on court between these two.

It might take creatively scrapping the playbook or bending it to their own wills a bit more, though?
