turner is in no way worth #1 overall. Randle is. lets do it straight up randle 4 Turner

Jim go look at his game my dude! I actually think Indy would reject a #1 overall for Turner.

I'd do it though. Tailor made big for today's league. Fits with DLO/JC/Randle/Nance/Brown

Turner is doing well, but I wouldn't trade a #1 for him. Maybe not #2. #3? Maybe.

I would. Mike's thread got me thinkin. If they were super high on Simmons we might be able to get Joe Young in that scenario. Doubtful though.

Just wishful thinking on my part

Both Sixers and Nuggets have had discussions with Clippers about Blake Griffin, per league sources

Amico is well known

It'd be so funny to see Griffin traded to Philly. Don't see what they have to offer besides Okafor or Noel then picks.

I could actually see Denver being a really good trade partner with Clippers.

With the Nuggets: Faried + Gallo + picks. Fair deal for both sides.

With the 76ers: Noel + Covington + picks +....I got nothing. What the heck could the 76ers possibly offer really?

Knicks should really try to trade him asap before he regresses almost completely. He's 31 and he's been on the decline since he turned 30. And he is constantly pissing off Knicks fans right now with him deciding to sit out games randomly for some reason like tonight.

Knicks now are 7 games under .500 with no draft pick and contracts filled up very high with only enough to sign maybe 1 star free agent, which won't be enough at all to win anything either. With a team not being able to win anything with a prime Melo, what makes people think a team with a declining Melo as the 1st option would win?

If I were the Knicks, this might be the time to blow up and stop with this half measures rebuild and trade Melo to the Raptors for their draft pick back + a young player or two. A huge win win for both teams I think but that's just me.

With the way the Knicks are playing right now, and with Toronto being a number 2 seed and only a PF away from being a team to beat the Cavs in the East, I think he would welcome a trade at this point.

Kyle Lowry
Demar Derozen
DeMarre Carroll
Carmelo Anthony
Jonas Valanciunas

How does he say no to playing with that?

I think the main obstruction would be his spouse.

Could be solid. And Galloway as well, I have only seen a few Knick games but he plays good in all of them.

Honestly I would target Lance as a 3/D guy with our leftover cap space.

I vote Langston Galloway. He's younger than Thomas, has more room to grow as a player while already being a solid shooter so far, and he would fit better here than Lou Will while also being far cheaper.

Lou Will for Langston Galloway. Who says no? Knicks add a scorer they need while Lakers shed salary and get a younger player to fit the team possibly in the long term.

At the deadline I'd do these trades if possible

Roy Hibbert to Portland for future 2nd protected pick

32nd pick for Joffery Lauvergne

Brandon Bass and Nick Young for Lance Stephenson

Draft night
Trade pick 2 or 3 to the Jazz for Alec Burks, Joe Ingles, 2016 1st Rd pick (only if lottery), 2016 2nd round pick via Boston, 2018 1st Rd pick, and rights to 2020 1st swap

I'm a big big fan of Burks. They just did an interview on Wade and asked who he thought was the most underrated player and he said Burks and I can agree. He plays similar to Wade. He's been injured of late but the kid is on a cheap deal for what he's worth and what he brings.

Draft:
- Buddy Heild SG
- Anthony Gill PF

Free agency:
- Hassan Whiteside
- Harrison Barnes ( if GS matches then Derozan)
- Vander Blue

Reason why I choose Barnes over Drrozan is he's 3 years younger and cheaper. Plus I think he will fit a lot better in the offense. He's a good defender and only going to get better.

Resign:
- Jordan Clarkson
- Tarik Black

Russell - Clarkson - Blue
Burks - Lou - Hield
Barnes - Ingles - Brown
Randle - Nance - Gill
Whiteside - Lauvergne - Black

Look to possiblly trade Lou for future picks so minutes can go to Clarkson, Russell, Burks, and even Heild who I love as a shooter off the bench.

I'd say the Knicks say no. Gallo is 6 years younger and seems to be a solid triangle point

I would not do the proposed deal where we get Burks. We need to come up with a lot more than him as the centerpiece if we deal the top 3 pick. Burks doesn't add much on defense and has been hurt. I don't want a below-average defender who has not demonstrated that he can stay healthy in his young career and who has a true shooting % of .526 in his career (.518 this year, .524 last year), and who has a $9.9MM cap charge next season (and $10.6MM in '17 and $11.3MM in '18) if we have to give up the top 3 pick. We don't even know where Utah's pick would be that we got back, let alone where Buddy Hield might be taken.

If we're dealing the top 3 pick (if we are lucky enough to keep it), we better be getting back something substantially better.

I like that trade.
However the Knicks would have to throw in some other bodies to make the salaries come close; Knicks probably nix that deal though (no pun intended).
