Kobe getting all this applause in a loss. It's just so uncharacteristic... it actually stings as a Laker fan.

Did anyone else see Kobe bounce the ball hard as he walks of the court and the ball goes in the basket?

Yep. Said it when the D'antoni/PJ fiasco first went down. A godfather deal for Popovich like what Riley has would be a game changer for this franchise. Face of the franchise, x's and o's, culture. Instant credibility again.

Lakers fought really hard all night and did not quit. We lost but showed some pride. That is a sign that the team is improving.

The young players looked good & Julius was a beast tonight. Kobe got hot and added a little excitement at the end.

Good competitive game - far FAR better than I'd have expected in San Antonio.

That said, Scott lost the game when he put in Bass for Black and took DLO off the floor. Winning combination late in the game, so change it and guess what happens?? About 99 percent of LG could have predicted it, and many did. Lakers suddenly lose momentum. Lakers lose a winnable game. Cause and effect. It's that simple.

I agree. My anger about Scott's inevitable late game move aside, the Lakers DID show pride, didn't stop fighting, and I believe they are improving.

I suspect Julius has a semi-nasty ankle sprain, good thing all star break is coming up. Rest it up Don Julio!

They did, but there was also a huge respect level there. Great, great game.

Whew! That was a close one.
The way that Phoenix is tail spinning, we can't afford these wins!

But man, I was rooting so hard for the guys to win today.
