What about trade Hibbert, Lou Williams and Nick Young for Joe Johnson.

I think both side will get what they want out of the deal.

Joe Johnson is a 24 Million Dollar Expiring Contract. I think Lou and Nick helps the Nets win in the East. I think we could wave Joe and let him sign with a playoff team. All so we can develop our youth.

You give Byron Joe Johnson and now he thinks we can turn back the clock to 2006 and go on a 30-0 run and make the playoffs.

Perfect trade if you want to insure that Byron really yanks the parking brake on the kids.

Not really because you at worst give Lou Williams and Nick Young's minutes to Joe's. But Joe won't play as much.

I advocated for this on a different thread. I think I wanted to also give them Bass though. Load up the Nets! They need some wins.

Gawd no. Joe Johnson seems exactly what we don't want for the Lakers: pricey, aged, inconsistent, slowed. Can't imagine re-signing him. Don't need him to complete this season. Pass.

Not sure a move to get Joe Johnson helps maintain the tank rate or not. Isn't the point right now to just "keep on keeping on" ?

no. How about they keep JJ, and you trade them Nick Young? A win-win.
