Sorry, I had some scheduling conflicts with my son's concert tonight. Caught the game late. DIY night. Post your comments here.

Horrible first quarter...too many turnovers, awful transition D. Lakers guards needed to make the simple play/pass a little more. Good fourth quarter by Russell and Huertas to help spark the team, but the going for the highlight pass hurt them. When they are aggressively looking to score or playmake, the team played better. Just needed to simplify.

I enjoyed seeing Nance play the SF tonight in some stretches. That worked okay because Sacre was able to space the floor...but he needs to be more confident in the jumper to really make that an option.

Scott's timeout with 0.7 left in the third.

Hearing the rumors that Byron might return as coach next year, the players were evenly split between those too distraught to play well and those resolved to protest by playing poorly. With Bryant out and Bass injured Scott turned to Metta who was inserted into the starting lineup. Not only was that unsuccessful but playing World Piece beside Big Roy across from DeMarcus Cousins made for the most disinterested front court this season. With little left in his toolkit, Scott made sure to play Ryan Kelly, who years from now will only be remembered as the guy LA drafted the year before they got good at Drafting, as many minutes as D'Angelo Russell.

Look forward to Byron doing a "Pop"
• If the starters are not willing to play with the needed energy or focus, put in five new players early in the game
• Let the starters finish the game in a bad rout

Huertsas has shown what DLO could be. SacTown's coaches noted Huertsas' tendencies and hopefully will learn from the experience

Nance'S basketball IQ, talent and hustle was on full display

One doesn't fire Byron until one already has a coach in place

Another lesson for the young players who need to progress beyond playing to the level of the competition (ala 76ers, Nets, et al)

I think Byron's lost the young guys.

They aren't playing like they are laying it out on the line for Scott.

Yeah. This game, in the first quarter was unwatchable. Hibbert, unfortunately, is toast. I'd rather see Nance, Randle and Tarik with Clarkson and Russell. They seem to lack offensive and defensive specificity. The coach is old-school suck-eggs (and I'm almost 70, so I can say that, lol.)
