Stop it. Jacob Rude and I were insanely high on his upside last year.'

I can't deal with it, especially when I think of how WCS and RAndle would have been in the frontcourt without a logjam at guard, Clarkson at PG.

It's also exactly why I don't buy into the fact that he was a senior out of Kentucky, that all of a sudden, he has a low upside.

Athletic ability

He still hasn't shown enough flashes of improvement this year. 5-10 jumpers/drives isn't enough.

It is for me. He has had a confidence issue, and now he's showing his skill set.

If it's legit next season, does it even matter?

This. I think for him it's confidence. He's someone that will wait to be told that he can do something. Permission. He needs to be given the green light. I think the skill set is there.

From the rate he's developing, it looks like a consistent J is two years away , and more offensive game is 2-3 years away. But once he gets there, it won't matter what he did his first few years - he'll still have 5-6 years left in his athletic prime - and he has a chance to be damn good in those years. It's still completely up in the air if he gets there, though.

What's Jerian Grant's player comparison? He finished the season strong as a starter - at least numbers wise.

As starter 14.5 ppg, 3.7 apg, 1.3 spg, 54.5 TS%

Not bad although I didn't catch any of the games he started, and when I saw him early in the season a few times, he looked lost as to what to do with the ball as a point guard.

Good driver and getting to the basket guy from what I saw early in the season. Athletic. Didn't strike me a starter, but those numbers he finished with show good signs for him.

Yep, liked him a lot, even if he was an "aged" player. He's on a recent hot streak, but he just keeps getting into the lane so easily.

I think he lost weight.

Problem is he's still an inconsistent shooter.

Hope my boy Mud impresses.

Mudiay w/7 points, 2 assists, & 3 turnovers tonight, on 3-11 shooting.

So basically, midseason form.

I still really like Christian Wood
He's gotten his body right, fixed his bambi legs with some strength training it looks like.
Love the grapefruit one-handed dunks, I think he could be a really good finisher. His length+athleticism combo is so spectacular. Jumper has potential, as well as face-up game.

I honestly prefer him as a prospect to Julius. This is a guy to take a shot on

McCullough is another PF prospect who I like. Jonathan Issac length, former SF so skills are there. Serious 3pt potential it looks like. Agile as hell, slippery in the lane.
uber leaper

I think good PF prospects are going to become (already are?) a dime a dozen. Giving Randle a crap-load of money with Paul George on the horizon is not ideal.

Again.

Peeps not stanning for Jahill or Mudiay no more? I guess KP is the last man standing along with the gunslinger Booker. Shame.

One, I was just about to post this. Two, I'll never complain about the effort of the young Lakers again. Ok maybe I'll still complain but with much less vigor.

Reading through Bachman's timeline, there are some other gems:

Quote:
Sixers are down by 12 early in third quarter to GSW. In 10 minutes, Jahlil Okafor has 4 points, 1 rebound, 6 turnovers, 5 fouls and is a -15

My first reaction was laughter.
My second was anger.
Now I'm kinda concerned.
We've all seen slow and lazy, but this dude looks completely out of it.
Is he something other than sober?
