*Warriors’ Luke Walton on Vlade Divac’s wish list

Quote:
Luke Walton is young, ambitious and bright, and the Kings are just down the road. So, sure, when the time is right – probably after the Golden State Warriors-Houston Rockets playoff series – the Warriors’ lead assistant and former interim head coach is expected to meet with Kings general manager Vlade Divac to discuss his team’s coaching vacancy.

*DeMarcus Cousins and Sam Mitchell could be a good fit or a disaster

Quote:
ESPN’s Marc Stein reported that the Sacramento Kings were interviewing Vinny Del Negro, Sam Mitchell, and Mark Jackson for their head coaching vacancy. Whoever winds up with the Kings head job will be the team’s ninth head coach since Rick Adelman’s departure in 2006.

One of the qualifications should be a degree in psychology.

If they're gonna fire every coach, why not sign them to 1-year contracts?

Keep wishing, Vlade! No way Luke considers going to SAC without some ridiculously stupid offer. Like $20M a year for 5 years ridiculous. He's going to have a lot of suitors all with a much better situation that what SAC has to offer.

The Kings' organization is a dumpster fire. They'll be lucky to even get a Del Negro/Sam Mitchell type coach.

Luke will go to Knicks before he ever considers the Kings, what a terrible and thankless job in a dump of a city....
I think at this point that job is only viable for somebody trying to get their 1st head coaching job or trying to revive their dying coaching prospects...

I honestly think Luke stays another year with the Warriors. Kerrs health is still a mess and the rumor is he will have another back surgery this summer. More than likely he hangs out in hopes of inheriting the keys to the Ferrari.
