Byron Scott did not have a chance to coach this team. With kobe issue he was a scapegoat. For the incompetent of the front office. No other coach would have done better.
Goodluck Byron a true laker who did it because he lived the Lakers
Even our front office was disfunction.

Everything you say is true, Byron was just used like a dirty rag to keep Kobe happy for a couple of seasons. They never put a team together that could give him a chance, and they knew Kobe was done. Anyone can coach the Warriors, or Cleveland etc. Coaching is important but it's not the reason you win. You win with superstars, the nba is a superstar league coaching is nothing but a psychologist job for altered ego's.
The rookies we drafted are meh mediocre at least. I have hopes for Randle, Nance and Clarkson. DLO way overrated in this forum, if we can trade him for Butler I would do it in a heart beat. This is not Dr. Buss's team anymore I've lost respect for the organization. The only thing that would make me happy is if Jimbo would get FIRED!

It's true. It is a superstar league, but coaching does matter. The FO also matters when it comes to building a team. In the case of Byron Scott, it wouldn't have mattered how he coached this Lakers team. The team wasn't going to make the playoffs or win 25 games. Also, the young players have a lot of work to do, especially in regards to work ethic and attitude.

If you look at the chemistry of the team, development of the youth, and Kobe's health, Byron Scott did a phenomenal job this year. It wouldn't have mattered what coach was in the spotlight, because many Laker fans would still have been complaining...mostly because they are spoiled. The FO is making a huge mistake caving in for fans out of desperation. Teams with constant coaching changes don't fare well, they farewell.

Not even close.
1) Scott consistently doghoused some of our best players.
2) No offensive vision or lacks the ability to convey it to the team
3) No defensive vision or lacks the ability to convey it to the team
4) No demonstrable ability to improve any of our player's play
5) Purposefully brought in under performing assistants to protect his job
6) Throws players under the bus - intentionally
7) Devalues our players preventing any substantial trades
8) Lost the team around 15 games into the season
9) Ryan Kelly - SF
10) Actively keeping Lin and Davis from the same lineups.

I don't want Phil. I want a coach that will help our team overachieve - not underachieve. That doesn't mean playoffs, that means:
1) Defensive effort
2) Offensive and Defensive cohesiveness after 30 games
3) PnR pg's play with the PnR bigs
4) Players aren't benched for making good plays to "keep them in line."

A fair question.

I personally do not demand much from a coach to be happy with him.

Just one thing.

Win the title!
