Yes, he was deactivated by the Lakers

The Lakers have been trying to trade Nick Young for the last couple of years and haven't been able to, I think he didn't really want to leave the Lakers then but now with what happened with Russell and not playing as much as he wanted to this season I think he wants to join another team. I know he's a California guy but after watching his leaving interview and Mitch's interview I got the impression he want's to leave. Maybe someone like Sacramento Kings would take him?

There is a report that Kobe threw Nick Young's shoes in the trash instead of signing them. Slam dunk Kobe

His tatoo shouldn't be BORN REBEL or even mis-spelled BORN REBLE

BORN STUPID would be more appropriate

Very nice change for Young.

He needs a different personality once his ass is waived or shipped to another team.

Nick young ballin. Just like when he played for MDA.
Not surprised. Always knew he could contribute on the floor in a fast paced, free flowing offense.
When the season starts, I expect him to maintain his good play.

And I think we should sell high (trade him). LG is funny sometimes. People always wanna trade players when the player's trade value is low. Lou is in the same "trade this recently struggling guy" dog house Swag was in before preseason.

When you have streaky guys like Lou and Swag, and if our front office is willing to part with one of them (they may not be). Gotta sell high

He's earned the starting SG spot IMO. I was wrong about him. He's able to buy into the team concept. I'd be surprised if Lou started the first game.

If he gets that role, I think he can average 15+ PPG.

Equally as important, he can defend the taller SG's in the league. That's probably good for a 6pt swing there too

I must admit Nick has been impressive this preseason. Looks like a different player then last year.

Shocking that a player would look better in a better offense and a coach that encourages him to be himself (while also challenging him to be better)

I'm glad I can go to a Nick Young thread and discuss him without being called stunted for actually supporting him and thinking he has a place on this team.

With that said, small sample size. I don't see why he can't maintain this though.. for a while he played really good defense on Klay Thompson.

Even if he doesn't keep this production up.. I really hope the Lakers trade away Lou Williams. Imo, Nick Young is so much better for this team than Lou Williams is.

Nice game by Uncle P. He was taking it to the 2017 champs. Not sure what got into, but I like it.

The reason why is simple: Young can play off the ball while Lou hams the offense with iso and isn't doing much unless he goes bizzark offensively.

I was paying more attention to Young on the defensive end tonight and came away so, so impressed. He was fighting through screens, playing ball denial, jumping in passing lanes. This is the Young that played under MDA. I hope GT highlights his defense in this game in his next Film Room.

While Nick Young has been playing out of his mind on both ends of the floor, please remember he's also a very streaky shooter - he even had his nights and weeks of cold shooting with D'antoni. I'd avoid falling in love with his play after some preseason games, esp with regards to starting him

But I'm really glad to see that he's picked up his personal life and focused on on-the-court matters. He looks locked in and that's great for the team

Pretty much this and his quick reads and passes. He's actually not a black hole so far. I don't even care about the shooting, I know he's one of the existing legendary streaky shooters left over from the previous generation but seeing him give the defensive effort as well as buying into the ball movement is what's selling me.
