Has it been mentioned if Luke is going to run the Golden State offense or the Phil Jackson Triforce offense? |

Like the GS offense, it's probably going to be a assortment of everything. He will most likely run sets that play to the strengths of the players. |

ha ha this is it.
I haven't been online much the last few days, but saw the news on twitter. I was REALLY hoping the lakers moved quickly on this and posted as much on a couple of threads. Was so shocked they actually did!
so happy. #Luke2016 _________________ "We might have had the worst season ever or could have the worst season ever for a Lakers team, but now let's have the greatest comeback that the league has ever seen." - Kobe Bryant |

Walton killed interview with Jim Buss & Mitch Kupchak, showing all he has learned about coaching. Lakers decided to lock him up immediately. |
This reminds me of Jerry West's assessment of Kobe's NBA draft workout with the Lakers |

How many years has it been where we actually had a coach that tailored a system around his players? _________________ "It was tough," Kobe Bryant said. "But when it got really tough for me, I just checked myself in." |

Pat Riley. When he started with Kareem as option 1 between 82-86. And then Magic took the reigns from 87-90. _________________ Because we're better than you! |

Been far too long. Phil at least ran a consistent system that worked, even though he needed the right players for the Triangle. Ever since, dudes like Mike Brown, MDA and Byron have just stubbornly run a system they wanted to run, regardless of the type of players they had or their respective strengths. I see Luke being more flexible and using a base motion offense and then catering it to certain players. Should be nice. _________________ "We might have had the worst season ever or could have the worst season ever for a Lakers team, but now let's have the greatest comeback that the league has ever seen." - Kobe Bryant |

WOJ Sources: Indiana coach Frank Vogel's contract expires at season's end and so far there's been no discussion of a contract extension.
His team played great defense he would

If he leaves Indiana I would expect Houston to push hard for him. |

Welcome home old boy. Get us back to the glory days. Can't wait to see who he brings on board as asst coaches.
Also thought I'd share this related article from ESPN about the top assistant coaches in the NBA today. Especially informative about Jarron Collins since I didn't have much knowledge of his coaching background before this:
Six head coaching candidates to watch this summer

I'm sure every time he gets a Byron question his response will be "Byron and his staff aren't under contract. If that changes, we'll let you know." _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. We'll probably have to wait another month or so until we get an actual official press conference with Luke Walton. Maybe sooner if the Warrior get beat but I doubt it. _________________ #11/08/16 America became GREAT again

Hopefully we'll get some answers as to how he killed that interview. I doubt it was videotapes/dvds. _________________ Character

Luke Walton has reached out to most of the Lakers players already. “They’ve spoken and connected,” said Kupchak.

He's already outperformed Byron |
