Yeah for the mini mid level exception. They don't have anywhere near the cap space for that.

With Paul, Griffin and Jordan each making 20 million? Durant will have to take a paycut to play there.

Just cancel the rest of the playoffs and have the NBA finals in 3 weeks with the Spurs and Warriors. Make it a best of 11.

The Spurs are going to be great for another 7 years. Players will take pay cuts to play there to win a ring. Leonard will eventually surpass Curry as the best player in the league. Could be next year.

Popovich isn't going to stay there for another 7 years. With his system in place it might not matter much. Ginobili and Duncan have about 2 seasons to go.

At this point the Spurs have rebuilt their roster to the point where Duncan and Ginoibli can pretty much retire and you won't see much of a difference.

Love it, hopefully Durant leaves then they are forced to trade Westbrook. Sam Presti is the most overrated GM in the history of the league, dude gets some much credit for not doing anything, he gave away harden for free, refused to amnesty Perkins so they could keep Harden, overpay for role players. OKC's run ends after they lose to the Spurs, they were lucky Durant fell on their lap.

The financial moves weren't Presti, they were the cheap ass owner.

ya. not paying guys like harden or going out and getting good players. its all on the Owner

I'm not sure Harden would've been content to stay there.
Part of the reason why he went to Houston was because he wanted to have a bigger role as well.

It didn't matter what he wanted, he was a RFA and would have been the starting SG anyway if they actually payed him. OKC were not forced to do anything other than paying him his money.

Which would never happen here.

Looks like that Spurs offense does belong in the modern NBA

Messina will be taking over when Popovich leaves if a team hasn't signed him by that point. So they'll be fine.

They didn't peak when going to the finals. They screwed it up by being penny pinchers and picking Perkins over Harden. THAT is what ended any chance they had at contending for a championship. They blew it with that move.

Durant would tarnish his legacy if he goes to GS, this is not Lebron creating a super team... this is ring chasing time 100.. It would be like Lebron going to the Lakers after we won back-to-back in 2010.

Won't matter as he'll be the 1, to 1a on that championship team. That's all that will ultimately matter.

And no Lakers fan would have minded if the Lakers got LeBron instead of Miami after our two-peat either

Sadly I think MIA will win (although I think the Pacers are better at beating MIA than CHA if we win tonight) I can't imagine the NBA not wanting a Cavs/Heat ECF

Parker is 5 years younger than Manu and 6 than Duncan. He still has some years ahead of him.
