This is the first time I have seen Magic hyped up so much about the Lakers. |

This is what I am glad to hear. Hate to say it but DLO is better served by working with Magic than by working with Kobe simply because Magic may be a more natural fit for him.
I would love to see DLO become a 20/12 PG who could go for 40 when needed. _________________ Never argue with stupid people! They will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience!! - Twain |

Very interesting and positive for a change to hear him support the hiring of Luke. He actually gave credit to Jim too! I like that DLo will workout w/ him this summer and pick his brain. |

Very encouraging to know that Magic is taking Russell under his wing, both on the court and off of it. Russell expressed confusion earlier in the season about playing point guard, so it's good that he'll be tutored by Magic. Russell has excellent court vision, but there's obviously a lot more to being a point guard than having good vision and being a creative passer. It's exciting to know that Magic is taking him under his wing to help him. _________________ “Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. Byron isn't a bad person, he just leaned on what he knew. Unfortunately what he knew was antiquated, and he was too stubborn to adapt to the changing NBA. He'll always be a Showtime legend though. |

I'd seen the Magic comments on Luke earlier in another thread. I wonder if while Magic and Worthy were publicly supporting their friend Byron (something I can't blame them for) that privately they are relieved. Another year of the same would have put them in an increasingly difficult situation.
I had not seen the comments about D'Angelo working with Magic over the summer. Thats awesome news. _________________ BORN REBLE |
