there's a cart in Highland park on Humboldt off of Ave 26 that's great. they have like 5-6 different kinds of meat and they're only $1. Haven't been in a while.

Big football game Friday night at Camarillo, the Scorpions take on La Habra. It is the first round of the State playoffs. Camarillo is undefeated and one heck of a football team. My son played against this group of Seniors when they were Freshman and that team ran the spread offense at 14 better than most high school varsity teams I have seen. So it is no surprise they are this good as Seniors. (by the way, my son's Buena team tied them 35-35) Should be a fun night.

Google just laid down the law....its one thing to go to small cities, but coming to the 2nd largest metropolitan area means they are coming after the biggest telecoms where they make most of their money. Verizon was a leader in this area with FIOS until they stopped deploying it a couple of years ago.

Been to the Costa Mesa location. Crazy lines the first month due to the hype but not even close to the NYC one. Plus overpriced!

For my b day dinner in May, some of my homies took me to a restaurant called Son of a Gun and it was dope. Also, when I'm in socal, I always make time for Leo's taco truck.

For gear and kicks, union LA on south la Brea never fails. Dunno if this is applicable. I also love killspencers space and product. Made in LA.

I almost bought tickets to this but passed cuz I couldn't find anything cheaper than $80/each.

I saw him earlier in the year at Trepany House for $20 and a few weeks ago at The Comedy Store for $15. I love Bill Burr.

Anyone try that new taco spot that Danny Trejo just opened up? I haven't been but from what I've seen, it looks like very mediocre food at a ridiculous price.

I'm seeing Marc Maron at the Trepany House in a couple of weeks. What did you think of that place?

I've wanted to go to the Comedy Store for a while now. Unfortunately the only stand up venue that is close to me is the Irvine Improv. I don't really like that place and neither do a lot of comics.

I thought it was awesome. it's tiny in there so you get a very intimate show.

Comedy Store is ridiculously hot right now. I saw Louis CK a few weeks ago and David Spade opened up for him. The week before, Dave Chapelle did like 3-4 nights. You should definitely make it to a show. The seating is very uncomfortable, though.
