Quote:
Shareef O'Neal is a 6-foot-9 power forward from Los Angeles (CA) Windmere who reportedly likes Kentucky, Michigan State and Duke.

"My dad actually wants me to lean towards Kentucky," the younger O'Neal told Sean Scherer of 247Sports, via Lex18.com.

Good choice. M-State wouldn't be bad either. Stay away from Duke.

I would think a kid of Shaq's wouldn't need the money at least I hope not. Then again if he's one and done Kentucky is probably perfect for him.

No kidding.

Why in the hell would Shaq's son sacrifice his career potential for short term gains (probably something trivial, like a few gifts)

No, they get paid real money. Shaq said that LSU paid him very well.

Is he good enough to be one and done.

Shaq I'm sure has talked to him about not doing dumb (bleep) given that he has 100s of millions of dollars.

Yes but Shaq came from far different circumstances he probably needed the money.

His son is fortunately not in that position.

And yes to answer the other poster is son is that good at least from what I hear.

LOL.

Real money is relative.
What is real money to you is not real money to Shaq's family.

I have. Mildly stoked, but I keep remembering that Daddyball Alford is in charge so Bryce Alford will likely start and get the meat of the minutes. This would be like having Doc Rivers give Austin the starter minutes over Chris Paul.

He's got a younger brother named LaMelo who's already a Little League legend. Him and Julian Newman will be the next great NBA superstars in the early 20s.
