Very weird way to die...Apparently, he left his car in neutral and it rolled down and hit him/pinned him against a brick mailbox (had a steep driveway).
Sounds more like a mob hit? Pinned in between a gate at his own home? I have heard of people getting crushed by being underneath a car they were fixing because of the jack not being secured, but you don't hear about stories like this often.

Sounds like he just got out of his car real quick to get his mail and left it in neutral on an incline. Sad.

I first remember him as Bobby Garfield in "Hearts in Atlantis". What a sh^tty way to go, and so young. RIP _________________ "Dread it, run from it... destiny arrives all the same."

Sounds like his Jeep suffered from known recall issue where the vehicle appears to be in Park but is actually in Neutral. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

Well, at least the coroner is reporting that he died fairly quickly and he was probably unconscious for the less than one minute he was alive after being pinned. I had feared that he was there being slowly crushed while he was wondering if anyone would find him in time.

Can his death be legally put on the car manufacturer if it's proven that the drive/neutral problem was a causal factor? Although, I guess I don't know how they could prove that.
The shift lever in that car is ridiculously confusing:
If that was the vehicle he was driving, I actually understand their take on the simplicity of it. The video was kind of counterproductive with all the steps needed to reach ones goal. But still, pretty straight forward. However, the problem is they were trying to "simplify" something Americans (I know, he was Russian) were inherently programmed to understand anyway. Like breathing. It just seems kind of unnecessary. Nothing malicious. Just unnecessary. Just like his death. This talented young man died from the equivalent of any of us trying to learn a simple task for the first time. Very sad.
