I am sure some idiots will give Lebron a vote here and there |
Curry could be unanimous, but usually some voter goes for someone else.
If it makes you feel any better though, one idiot voted for Carmelo Anthony in 2012-13 to deny Lebron a unanimous MVP. |
Potentially, 73-9 when a player has gone from MVP to MVP / MIP (arguably) is a pretty good argument for unanimous, but it probably won't happen. I'm not sure anyone has had a more magical season, however. He hits circus shots when he drives, he hits shots from three with guys in his face, and he hits shots from crazy range. Then, beyond all of that, he hits shots that go beyond long range. He hits heaves at the the end of quarters at a percentage I'm not sure we've seen before. Even yesterday he hit a shot from the opposite 3 point line, although it was in his hand when the buzzer sounded. It is just crazy. If the W's win the championship, this will be a single season by a player for the ages. I'm 55. I've never seen anything like it. |
I'd vote for him, but if one voter out of 130 or whatever it is casts his vote for Leonard, Lebron or Durant, I think it would suck, but I understand the case you can make. I mean, getting 100% of a large group to agree on anything is unusual. |
That is true. We each have our own perspective and prejudices. |

If you voted for someone else to prevent someone from winning a unanimous MVP, your name should be released to the public and you should be forced to give your reason why you voted for said player. |

Shaq should have been unanimous in 2000 - that was an equally stupid situation. |

Glad Houston can grab that 8th seed with a win tomorrow.
Looking forward to another GS-HOU playoff series. Should be entertaining. _________________ "Every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better” |

I wouldn't agree with that. If you don't announce everyone's vote every year you shouldn't single one guy out just because he has a different opinion. If you're not asking everyone to provide their reasoning, you shouldn't single out one guy just because his opinion is different.
That's just a subtle way of pressuring people to fall into the herd mentality or fall outside it to get some personal publicity. |

How much can I win if I bet 100 bucks on a depleted Memphis beating Golden State tmrw? _________________ "The best there is. The best there was. The best there ever will be.", said Bret Hart regarding the Los Angeles Lakers. |
