If Ingram can get to 230 pounds in a few years, do some crazy Olympic lifting, he'll be a great player. He lacks explosiveness, because he has 0 muscle and is going on pure genes at this point. He will be able to unlock a ton of explosiveness with the proper training.

If Ingram gets up to 230 lbs he will be slower than molasses. Some people are fine at their natural weight, the main thing is that he adds muscle in physical areas involved in basketball mechanics. I've heard some of his comments about eating everything and I cringe thinking of what that may be. If he has a low sugar, high protein, high good fats diet, along with lots of vegetables he will be in great nutritional shape.

His dad has some solid mass on his frame. Of course he's older, but in terms of genetics, I think he'll be fine in packing on that weight.

Nice video, but can you imagine if you only had the talent of piano wizardry to score it yourself? Oh well, I guess we'll just have to settle for lesser music.

Word. Lots to catch up on.

Nearly 70k views on your video right now. That's pretty amazing, but I'm really not surprised. It's really great work, and I wouldn't be shocked to see something come from it.

I saw a person who I suspect was his mom when he was drafted. She had his same slender build, arms, shoulders, etc. I'm not sure he can add much more bulk based on the genes he appeared to get form her.

Ingram will be a bust in the nba.
He's just long and that's all.
He lacks explosiveness. He lacks moves.
He relys too much on length
He will.get pushed around all season, he will have a hard time creating for himself with basic moves that he possesses.. anyone who thinks he is better than simmons is fooling themselves. I'd almost pefer to trade the pick

This is a very concerning pick
I'm just not buying into the hype.

I would be absolutely shocked if Ingram is a bust. Way too good defensively and too good of a shooter to be less than a solid starter in his prime. Of course he's going to get pushed around next year. He'll have just turned 19 years old. You don't draft him, or anyone else for what they do in their first year.

Just because someone is skinny doesn't mean they will be pushed around unless they gradually guard someone physical.

Ingram is smart to adjust to his current body and still be a good player.
with all due respect you must've never played basketball on any level much less a competitive one. Or any physical sport for that matter. Your post should be rethought out

Dude, get over yourself. You have an opinion, doesn't mean it's any more correct than anyone else's opinion. Funny how Mitch and almost every other expert out there thinks you are wrong. Almost every NBA player, past and present, thinks the guy has huge upside and that he was the right pick for the Lakers at #2. But you ARE SOOOOO MUCH MORE KNOWLEDGEABLE than all the rest of us newbs.

I wouldn't be too concerned about Ingram or his playing style as of now. Firstly we need to understand that he is only 18 years old and will soon turn 19, which means he will be 19 his entire rookie season.
With being that young in the NBA there is a ton of room for growth and improvement, but as it stands his ability to play both ends of the floor will be his greatest asset. Rather he starts or not won't matter and how many points he scores won't matter right now either.
Will he be a ROY candidate? That remains to be seen...

Russell/Calderon/Huertas
Clarkson/Williams
Deng/Ingram/Brown
Randle/Nance Jr.
Mozgov/Black/Zubac

Barring some mid-level trade with Young and Fodder or a FA signing, that is probably the starting Rotation at the beginning of the season.
