Still can't believe there are more pages in the Zubac thread than the Ingram thread.
That'll be the next, new Lounge thread.

Coz GT decided to lock the original thread I made. It had plenty of steam going into the draft as anticipation built up.
What do you think would be better for Ingram in his first season ? To start or come off the bench behind a veteran player (like Deng) and make his way into the starting line up.

Obviously we need some veteran presence on this team.
Acquiring a vet like Deng or one on his level, on maybe a one year deal, could prove to be very advantageous from a mentorship/growth/maturity standpoint.
BS needs to get bigger and stronger to play through a rigorous 82 NBA game schedule.
Ideally, I would not want to just throw him to the "wolves." However I think that if that happens that he will be up to the task.

If we get Deng, play Ingram at SG and have Clarkson come off the bench.
At the same age Durant was definitely a better athlete than Ingram.
Yea easily, he was also 20 pounds heavier. Ingram needs to put on some weight ASAP
It might not be easy...when I was young, I was tall and lanky like Ingram and had a metabolism like a hummingbird. It was impossible to put on weight with how much I was running playing basketball, even eating protein powder and such.
Training methods are much better now of course, but to me it is more an issue of helping him gain strength to start rather than weight. He is the youngest or second youngest player in the draft, it may be a few years before he can truly bulk up...but certainly he can get stronger ASAP. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny

Getting the minutes that he can handle and not more. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.
This is a great quick breakdown of the similarities between Durant and Ingram's games. I don't expect him to come in like Durant did and drop 20ppg as a rookie but I think we'll some really exciting flashes this season. As his body grows he's only going to get better.
Ingram will be a stud but Durant as a freshman in college was a different level. He woulda been #1 pick in this draft. Not a slight to ingram but just how good durant was

In order to distinguish his game from Durant, Ingram must put as much effort into his defense as he does his offense. That is what differentiates Lebron from Melo and Durant.
Still can't believe we got Brandon Ingram guys, I'm stoked!
I know, once Summer League rolls around it will be nice to see that he is really in a Laker jersey. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.
