He will be joining our summer league team and I can not be more excited to see him get an opportunity with us. When the kid wants to he has the size and energy to be a walking double-double. At 6-10 240 he's no joke of a man down low. Just consistency is his problem especially his jumper. But he has had some crazy good games last year against KAT and Kentucky along with beating Ingram and Duke during the ACC tourney... Kid is a baller and here's to hoping he can make the squad

Don't know if he's actually signed, but it was reported by Alex Kennedy via twitter yesterday he will.

LINK

Just goes to show the Lakers know they need help at center.

Ha ha. Yeah, I had that feeling, too. His Mass. roots don't help, either. But I get the feeling, he's kind of got that Matt Barnes thing going where you hate him on other teams, but can get behind him when he's on yours. Scrappy player, mobile. A good summer league pick up as an undrafted player.

I think he might look better with the pro game as far as pick and rolls go and guard penetration.

I thought he was a good player in college.

Josh Adams would be a very interesting guy to look at, I am a fan of his and followed him closely in college as I watch a lot of Mountain West Conference games as a SDSU fan.

Looks like a very good PnR player, when I watched video of him and readings tweets about him. In an interview, he says his main priority is expanding his range; I hope we get to see some of that while he plays for us.

Besides him getting dumb fouls & missing bank shot layups his entire college career I'd say he has a 15% chance of making the team. This coming from a guy who watched entire career & life long Irish fan...

Upshaw didn't set good screens. Aside from his off-court problems, he was raw as hell in terms of court awareness and basketball IQ. Auguste seems to get high marks on his screening abilities, and his game should translate better to the NBA.

One of the reasons Toronto was so successful with their so-called "iso-ball" is because Valanciunas and Biyombo were the screen assist leaders. They gave enough room to cats like Lowry, DeRozan, Ross and Powell to operate on the wing. There was method to madness in Casey's offense, which is why Masai felt confident in resigning him for another 3 years.

It seems Lakers will try to emulate this dynamic to get Russell, Clarkson and Ingram good looks.

I think he signed with the Denver Nuggets already. :/

EDIT: Confirmed.

Darn it, thanks for the update Brother!

I like Josh Adams, watch out for him in Summer League. I wonder if Dancing Barry will let me sleep on the floor of his room there? The Mrs. might find it odd, I do admit.

If he is that bad, hell, I don't want him anywhere near the team! jk...

I saw the highlight vids (everyone looks good in highlights). I like his emotions on the court, you can tell he is very passionate about the game. I'm glad the Lakers are giving him a look.

I've seen him play for the last few years and I always come away thinking that he's an NBA player. I don't think he will make the squad though because He won't beat out zubac.

Anyone have any word on black? It seems like he's done in LA as well

I watched him his entire ND career and I came away with a little different feeling. Now Zac is nothing special but he's a grinder. I love his motor and seemingly always being around the ball in a scrum. Gets big offensive rebounds time and time again. I love his lateral quickness and footwork. Now, defensively he gives up position and he can't shoot too well but I think if he impresses he's worth a spot. He definitely looks like an NBA big.
