Ironically Larry Nance seems to be the most equipt from a maturity and leadership quality standpoint. Your leader doesn't always have to be the best player.

Just because you are older doesn't mean you are fit to lead.

Lou Williams leading the Lakers.

Everyone bring at least two (bleep) to practice.
Teaches young guys to throw their arms into defenders and shoot up a brick
Closes with speech about what you need to do to keep earning a pay check in the nba.

None of the kids deserve a captain role yet. Let's see what veterans join the team this summer to possibly take that role. Maybe down the road I could see Randle being the captain.

Randle is the only one that can speak clearly & intelligently. He's just more mature than the others. None of them are great choices, but Randle is the only one I can see as a possible leader.

Edit: I wasn't thinking of Nance. He would be the other possibility. But none of them deserve it at this point.

Are there teams that go in to a season without a captain? I'm not sure.

Who was the TWolves captain last year? Garnett probably.

Actually good point about Nance. If they don't get a vet FA then Larry is the best bet out of the kids I would think. I'd still vote for a vet FA tho'.

Don't forget that the longest tenured Laker is currently Robert Sacre

Great questions

Prob whichever vet FA, the young kids don't deserve it yet. Lou and Nick, not leaders

Maybe MWP if resigned

The correct Answer is whoever Luke thinks deserves it most.

We know next to nothing about how good or bad any of these guys would be as leaders. We're not there with any of them day in and day and out and what a player does on the court doesn't necessarily mean they're fit to lead. Luke has had the opportunities to study under some great leaders throughout his career all of whom had very different styles of leadership. I trust that Luke will be pick the right person to be the captain of this team.

Well, I was hoping to get your opinion, at this moment in time. You don't have one?

This question made me realize how bad we're going to be if we don't sign done quality players. All our guys are too young to really lead a winning team currently.

If you really want to have your eyes opened spend some time on the free agency thread.

Apparently every free agent has major flaws, should not be "overpaid" and will take time from the young players.

Who needs leadership or professionals?

And why isn't he fit to lead? Please enlighten us.
