Jeannie speaking in light of Jim and Mitch and the Buss family makes me think that Ding article was a hidden agenda driven story of complete fabrication.

It's easy taking words out of context and most journalists love doing it to get hits.

Jeanne says the right things in this interview but inside she's burning and ready to pounce on her brother if the Lakers have another season like this last one. You can bet on that.

Interesting, I'm glad to hear how supportive Jeannie was in this interview.
This is so contrary to the kind of stuff coming from Bleacher Report, ESPN 'analysts', and other sensationalist trash news sites. Of course, that won't stop bottom feeders in the press like Ding from twisting words and pushing out click bait articles for years to come.

Nonetheless, I've heard a few positive interviews from Jeannie now. If she stays supportive and the FO continues making the right moves as they have been, this team has much better days ahead of it.

She's absolutely correct when she states that Mitch and Jim have all of the resources to succeed. Now stand united going forward and let the good times roll.

I said at the time of Dr. Buss' passing that it would take at least 2-3 years for the family dynamic to work itself out. I think that Jeanie has resigned herself to the idea that Jim will remain in his position and wisely, she is mending fences. Good for her, Dr. Buss put her in that PR position for a reason and she is showing why.

That was by far the best Jeanie interview since Dr. Buss was alive and Phil was the coach.

Well done.

Agreed.

Very encouraging to see her showing her support and being optimistic. That's what we want as fans. Everybody on the same page.

Can only help with FA and league wide reputation. All we gotta do now is show improvement...say reach 35 wins.

The narrative and drama behind a 3 year rebuild (so far) is absolutely hilarious to me.

3 years.

In these 3 years there were hiccups of course (not many IMO, but not pursuing smaller contract players like Aminu last year does bother me), but they've built something very nice.

First hiccup was five years ago when they blew up a contender after losing to the eventual champion Mavericks. You can call it 3 years in your head, though.

So far, they've built a 3-0 Summer League team.
