There's also a conspiracy theory on the OKC forum that Durant didn't announce his decision until July 4th so as to cripple the Thunder and prevent them from signing any top free agents.

Nobody could've replaced Durant on that team. They could try, but he left big shoes that weren't available to be filled on the open market.

Without a superstar, Buck Foston isn't going to be in any position to challenge GS seeing as they won't get past Cleveland.

Durant made his decision rather quickly. It's not like he dragged it out until August.

Eh, people can find a conspiracy in anything these days. As others have said, Durant made his decision quickly, and I can't think of a player that he deprived them of getting.

I think Durant knew even as early as the beginning of last season that he would leave for the Warriors. He wasn't "convinced" during his little free agent courtship like he says he was.

Ya, because the Warriors didn't win a title and 73 games in the last season, they couldn't analyze the tape and see what Boston did to them.
