You're still pissed we didn't get Jonathan Bender and the 17th pick. |

...you're wondering why people keep talking about the Dodgers TWC TV shutout? Don't they mean the Lakers? |

when you realize your house is in the direct path of a Category 4 (maybe 5) hurricane, and your most upset that your likely going to miss a Lakers preseason game.
No electricity, no wi-fi, no cell towers equals Lakers blackout for Central FL Laker fan..... |

You know you're a Laker fan if ...
... you treasure the mental images of Elgin Baylor at his best above almost all other basketball things. I love recalling his style and power when finishing a stutter-step drive with long hang time. He could do a hand change of the ball in the air, and yes it was a highly difficult move when a guy was permitted only one step off the dribble. No running start by palming the ball as it comes off the floor, no jump-stop, no carrying-over, no Euro step. Laker beauty.
... you're still surprised when you see pictures of the new kid all grown-up, Jerry West, in a suit and tie without a flat top haircut.
... you completely can love a Laker team which doesn't win a championship but manages to make an impressive run at one. |

I think a true Lakers fan should want to see the team do well as a whole and not fall in love so much with individual players. Yes I enjoyed Kobe, Shaq etc but when the team started to lose I became depressed. I just wanted to see the team compete and win championships.
So for me I cannot sleep when the team loses, and I've been an insomniac for the last three years. |

You felt a sharp pain in your midsection when Lebron beamed a pass into DLO's groin... But then asked God to make sure DLO can get up and play basketball again after he shakes it off. Russell having kids or not is a distant 2nd and not any concern of mine. Well unless we could see into the future and DLO's son will bring many more championships to the Lakers. Then we pray to God that his future children were okay too...
Or you have too much time between preseason games to write something completely ridiculous like I just did... |

You were born in the 80s and weren't old enough to start following the Lakers until 1993, yet you feel an emotional attachment to the Showtime teams.
You daydream about the sights and sounds and what it would've felt like for the Lakers and Kobe to win one more world championship vs Lebron a few years ago. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers |

When you watch every game at least twice, the second time more relaxed. This dating back to VHS...Oh, and when you go to sleep thinking about different line ups to relax and fall asleep. |
