They know Staples will never be theirs. The window is closing on the best team they've ever had, best for them to establish something in some other arena preferably in some other city.

I see Anaheim as a "potential spot"?

You get the OC fan base, still 'some" LA fan base will follow them to OC, and San Diego will have a team about 25% closer to them....

But a team will be in Vegas sooner than the Clips I believe.

You guys who are so threatened by the Clippers being in LA and Staples should get a dog.

I think it's fun having both teams in the same arena. Creates a better competitive atmosphere in their match ups and so long as the Lakers retain prime day and time slots, it really is non impactful to us.

Also I think Ballmer was recently on record noting to seattle fans he would never move the Clippers there, period, on his watch.

“The Clippers are not going anywhere, ever,” he said. “I will die owning the L.A. Clippers in Los Angeles.”

The Clippers are the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim of the NBA. Sadly for them, they could win a championship and it won't matter. All of SoCal is a Laker town.

Clippers should move to San Diego, Orange County or Seattle. Maybe Vegas.

Staples Center is and always will be Laker Country.

Looking at this list https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_relocated_National_Basketball_Association_teams, two cities stand out for me that should get a team in the near future: Seattle and Vancouver.

If you don't take the market of a team into account, there are two very obvious teams that need to move: the Clippers and the Nets. Two teams in one city is just not right. In the short run it might be a loss in market. But I think long term this could change, especially for the league and not just the teams owner.

Looking at this you could argue that some teams could benefit from a relocation: http://espn.go.com/nba/attendance Especially if you take city size into account, which makes it look really bad for the 76ers ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_cities_by_population ) But obviously you shouldn't just ignore history like that OKC guy did.

I do not like the Clippers and I would welcome if they move. But I do like the enthusiasm Steve Ballmer brings. That's what I expect from a pro sports team owner and I think the league should look at that at times as well. Even if Mark Cuban does stupid things - he as an owner brings a lot of excitement and fun to the games. That's what it is about, entertainment.

Would it really decrease the value of the franchise. Seattle is a growing market in both real estate and business. You have Boeing and Microsoft there and from what I have been reading car companies is looking to invest into a plant up there

Also...Seattle has a defined culture like Los Angeles. I'm sure balmer can strike a lucrative tv deal a new arena and adopt a franchise that has an existing championships. Also they can retire Gary Payton jersey

Who knows!! It's would be worth the gamble. Break the lease at staples move the team to Seattle and you might get Kevin durant in a year or 2

Durant
Cp3
Griffin

Gotta be. There's no way they're leaving.

They built a new practice facility in Playa Vista just 8 years ago so there's another +$50 million that someone's gonna pay for if they move.
