Yeah, next season is going to come with a lot of frustration. We got a glimpse of it during the summer league against the Cavs. The team is going to be bad and people are expecting this big turnaround. They are going to be bad. They are going to give up leads. They are going to give up career nights to average players. They are going to be disrespected in the media. I expect for guys like Westbrook and Harden to drop 50 on these guards. The fans are going to get impatient, and eventually the front row seats will be empty... but, there will always be the die hards that continue to expect great things from 20 year olds.

Nobody is expecting this but turnaround in one year. All we're expecting is gradual growth and improvement. Yes they may be bad, but they will also be very dynamic and exciting to watch. They will make mistakes, but they will have plenty of great moments that will signify the future is bright in L.A. I don't take much out of the Cavaliers game because we didn't have a full roster. Even mistakes mad the fact we've added so much talent to last year's roster compared with having a full play book and a set rotation should all result in more wins.

That probably went over the heads of the young guys. I'm probably getting too old for this site.

First thing that comes to mind after reading the topic

40 and above = Pointer Sister reference
30 to 39 = Jessie Spano freak out

though "I found a rare Pokémon" could trump either

Haha, I'm in the 40 and above category.

Off topic, I have a vivid memory of being in HS, early morning before classes (I think I was waiting for a PE class to start), and hearing a rather annoying girl blurt out those lines, as loud as possible, over and over again as she giggled to her friend. I don't know why she was so excited, but for some damn reason, that memory pops into my head whenever I hear that song. I don't even remember the girl or what she looked like - it's strange how some random memory latches onto our brain, yet I can't remember what I did last week.
