FWIW, Rudy Gay has played 2% of minutes in his career at the 2. |

Agree Rudy doesn't fill a roster need. I have Ingram penciled in for some minutes at SG, Deng for some minutes at PF and Jordan for some minutes at PG. The gap that leaves is essentially a better version of Anthony Brown, a wing that can play SG/SF who shoots the deep ball and defends. _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night. |

I'd rather start Ingram at SG than trade for Rudy Gay. |

I said, ok, I'll read the last page on this thread and I'm expecting either Rudy Gay, Nerlens Noel or Okafor to be mentioned. I was not disappointed... |

Last year it was July 22nd, but it doesn't even seem like they are going to have a press conference this year. |
It does seem strange that we haven't had a press conference for our new players.
Maybe the holdup is because Calderon won't be able to be in LA until after the Olympics are over. |

We are actually perhaps deepest at the 4 position. Randle, Nance, Deng (at this point in his career) are all primarily 4's, and Black is also a 4/5. |
I'm surprised you think Black can play the 4 position. What makes you think he can contribute at the PF position in Luke's offense? I'm not asking rhetorically, just genuinely wondering. |
The same way he can contribute at the center position. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

what we dont need is Lou Williams and N young. if you can get Gay for that package you do it |
Why do you assume Sacto wants that garbage package? |
Or that the Lakers want to trade Lou? Especially for a guy who can screw up their cap projections for next offseason. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

I just think the team needs more talent regardless of what position they play. In case of injury and im sure Luke will figure out a way to get him minutes in a modern offense.
Dlo
Clarkson
Rudy
Deng
Randle or Mozgov
Looks nice on paper.

Carlos Boozer has signed to play in China, according to international basketball reporter David Pick.
He reportedly met with the coach of the Guangdong Tigers in the United States. Boozer did not play in the NBA last season, but did play 71 games with the Lakers in the 2014-15 season. He's likely already learned how to yell "and one" in Chinese.

I'm amazed that a productive player can't get a contract somewhere in the NBA. |

Espically when add e would be a good vet in the locker room. Was amazed he didn't get any offers last year. I wouldn't mind him as a vet voice on the end of our bench. _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' Boozer not getting a contract is justice after he screwed over a blind man on a handshake agreement years ago. It's just 10+ years too late. |

Hes good on offense but his feet are glued to the floor. The year he was here I hated watching him on defense.
But I suppose he wouldnt be too bad last off the bench. |

yeah, kinda shocking to see the words Boozer and "productive" together.
so... today was Rudy Gay, will it rotate back to Nerlens Noel scenarios tomorrow? Throw in a Clarkson for ? trade - usually somebody horrible, and I guess I don't have to read this thread for another few days... |

Marc Stein said on the Lowe Post podcast that Greg Monroe wants to end up in New Orleans. Maybe we could help facilitate a trade to get him there?
We trade:Young
We get:Evans
Pelicans trade:Evans, Pondexter, 2nd round pick
Pelicans get:Monroe
Bucks trade:Monroe, MCW
Bucks get:Gay, Young
Kings trade:Gay
Kings get:MCW, Pondexter, 2nd round pick |

Lakers need a defensive minded guard, Cavs just waived Dahntay Jones. They should bring him in for a meeting...so Kobe can sock him in the mouth. |

Who would trade for Gay next season? Stretch Nick and trade Lou and you have about $13 mil in space that Gay's contract would eat up if he opts in and you can't trade him. Unless the cap is projected to really drop in 2018, ending contracts are pretty much worthless. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

The fact that we are stretching doing any moves means that the player we get will make a Impact or else if they were gonna get a cheap alternative they would have bought that player in already. |
