Which team are you looking forward to most seeing this young Lakers team face the most? It might sound crazy because we'll likely get blown out, but I'm looking forward to seeing them play Golden State. Our best performance of the season was against them imo. We did an excellent job denying and trapping and just swarming Steph and definitely provided somewhat of a blue print for other teams how to defend Steph. Obviously with Durant they'll be even more difficult to cover, but I'm interested to see what type of game plan Luke comes up with for them since he obviously knows them as well as anyone. Then of course there's the fact that Brandon will going up against his idol in KD and that's always interesting to see how some of these young kids fare against players they tried to model their game after and Durant has obviously been the player who's been most compared too.

Minnesota is a close second for me for obvious reasons. They currently have the best young core in the league with Wiggins, Karl Anthony, Lavine, and of course Kris Dunn. The Lakers definitely have the second best imo and it's gonna be great to see these two young squads battle it out. Could be a matchup of two potential future power houses. Dunn is a guy who argurably is the most NBA ready player right now while Ingram may have a higher ceiling than even someone like Simmons. Both are hungry to prove themselves with new coaches leading them. Most consider the Wolves a likely playoff team and a lot don't have high expectations of these Lakers because they still have a lot to prove which is fair, but this could be a budding rivalry between these two really, really talented young teams.

Oklahoma City, Portland, Dallas, Memphis, Houston, and Utah. .500 teams fighting for a playoff berth.

That's the bar for this team. I would like to know where they are at.

Most of those teams will be better then a borderline playoff team.

Bolded I have as playoff locks.
GS, SAS, LAC, MEM, OKC, POR, HOU I think all make the postseason. Utah, Dallas, and Minny I have as toss ups for the 8th playoff spot.

Every one of those teams has an established star except Utah, that's a big difference from the Lakers. Westbrook, Lillard, Dirk, Gasol/Conley/ZBo, Harden. Out of those teams, Utah may be a good barometer, even though they are further along in their time period when compared to the Lakers. Minny, Philly, Milwaukee etc are good teams to compare to.

I don't want to watch two bad teams play . I want to see how they play against good teams.

No way Utah is fighting for the 8th seed... They added 2 talented players.

In terms of most satisfying win, it's the Celtics. Most intriguing match up, minny and philly, imo.

Minnesota, out of your list. I'm looking forward to seeing us up against them, Philly, Denver, and the other "we got next" young teams in the NBA.

But really, I'm looking forward to all of them. This is the most excited I've been in a few years.

+1

We have an 11 game losing streak against them and haven't beaten them in a season series since the 11-12 season. We're 1-15 against them over the last four seasons.

(2015-16) 0-4
(2014-15) 0-4
(2013-14) 1-3
(2012-13) 0-4

Not only are they beating us but a lot of the games weren't even close.

They're still a better team than we are but how we perform against them this season will tell me a lot about how much we have/haven't improved.

Clippers. It's time to regain our building and show them the door. Time to show them their run is over and were the future.
