Funny how much Reggie dislikes Kobe.

Why? Just because he beat him in the finals in 2000?

Shaq was more of a factor in that series.

And what about disliking MJ , or the Bulls? Or the Knicks? Reggie had more wars with them than the Lakers.

But, let me guess, MJ is the GOAT, so he would never dislike him.

Stupid.

I thought this topic was bumped from 2002 or something. Reggie didn't seem to like him when they shared the court together but he drools when he sees him from the booth and it has been that way for as long as I can remember.

Don't forget, Celtics legend Larry Bird was his team's coach and president.

That hatred runs deep.

Reggie's glowing adulation for Kobe's abilities and career is honestly disturbing. If there's any reason why I'm glad that Kobe's retired, it's because I'll hear Reggie fawn over him less.

Didn't they get into a fistfight one time? I'm sure they don't care for each other.

Kobe won the most pivotal game of that series, Game 4, after Shaq fouled out. Instead of the Pacers tying the series at 2-2, after stealing a game at Staples and going back to Indy, Kobe buried them to go up 3-1. He shot 51%, scored 28 Point all without even getting a single free throw, 5 Assists and 2 blocks.

Reggie doesn't hate Kobe. They used to work out and play one on one against each every summer.

Riggie was fawning over Kobe every time he covered Laker games last season. It was like fanboy mode. He did say he disliked Kobe when he was playing as he prevented him from getting a championship just like MJ, but had massive respect for what Kobe has done in his career.

That's how I see it as well. I think it's Open Court, where he talks about it once in a while.

The funny thing is that Bird really likes Kobe. He's said some really good things about Kobe as a player.

Game recognizes game.

The Pacers lost all 3 games at Staples in that series. They fell behind 0-2, won game 3 when they returned home and Kobe was out, lost game 4 in the game you're talking about, won game 5 in a blowout and lost game 6 in LA.

If Kobe sits out game 4 like he did game 3, Indiana wins all three home games and goes back to LA up 3-2.

Reggie looked like he waited his whole career to eat a sandwich.

From what I've seen, Reggie didn't seem to like Kobe on the court, but off the court, he always seems to praise Kobe. Even when Kobe was struggling last season, he always propped Kobe and never really criticized him.
