Last season, I had several discussions with people in here on who to start, who to pick up, trade evaluations, and so on.

Tis the season once again folks! If you have any draft questions, sit/start decisions you can't make, trades you want help evaluating, player pickup advice, etc, post it here.

Hope everyone has a great and stress free fantasy season. (Is it ever stress free?)

I got the 6th pick in our 10-man league. I might have to do something I have never done before, draft a tier 1 WR in the first round. I have never drafted any player other than a RB before.

You beat me to it, RF! I had my big draft last night with some buddies and I was way too groggy and hungover to create this thread in the morning. I am glad to have this thread to whine and cry when I lose by .5 points by some last second BS play, or gloat endlessly when I pull off a come from behind miracle. Should be a fun season!

vlf- I did WR with my 1st pick the last 2 years. With the league being as pass happy as it has been, I think MORE WRs go in the 1st round now than RBs.

In my draft yesterday, the very 1st pick was Leveon Bell. Aaron Rodgers went 5th. Some strange picks as usual from some of my opponents.

Here's what my team looks like. Let me know what you think.

QB- E. Manning / M. Mariotta
RB- Lamar Miller / Latavius Murray / Matt Forte / Frank Gore / Jay Ajayi
WR - Julio Jones / Allen Robinson / Mike Evans / Jordan Matthews / Marvin Jones
TE - Coby Fleener
K- C Catanzaro
DEF- Rams

I am a bit worried about Defense and QB. The Rams are my team and I had to get at least 1 Ram in there. I usually end up streaming defenses, so if the Rams look like they do in preseason I may drop them quickly.

I wouldn't be surprised if Mariotta is your starter partway through the seasons, he is improving and has better tools to work with this season, especially Demarco Murray.

That's the old school approach. Just gotta be flexible and get the best player. Don't get stuck on drafting by position.

Frankly, at 6, you are likely going to end up with an RB like David Johnson-ish.

Most mocks I have participated in I was able to get Peterson, and if he were there I would grab him. My buddy who is a big Viking fans picks at 3, so doubtful AP drops to me. In most mocks Johnson is gone by the 6th pick.

That looks like a draft in a 10-team league. Dunno how else one would get ARob, Forte, and Murray

How many teams? This looks like a 12-team league. And NICE draft. Not a huge fan of Maclin, but he's your backup, I get it. I think you might have some RB2 issues, but we'll see.

I would also have liked a better backup QB because Big Ben is injury prone, but, I'm splitting hairs here. Overall, nice draft if a 12-team league!

I'm doing my draft on Monday, it's bank holiday Monday in the UK, but we've booked out a conference room in our work office to do a live draft.

I have 11th pick in a 12 man league (which will also mean I get 14th pick too) and then will have close picks to each other in following rounds (snake style draft).

Not sure on who I will target at 11, hoping Julio Jones slips, but will see on the day.

I need to pick (2) keepers. Which two get me the most value in a 3/4 PPR Leage?

Brandin Cooks - giving up a 5th Round pick

Thomas Rawls - giving up a 10th Round pick

Jeremy Langforford - giving up a 10th Round pick (9th Round if I keep Rawls along with him).

Danny Woodhead - giving up an 8th Round pick

PPR league? If so, 0 chance Julio is there at 11. If not, then he'll still probably go no later than 7 or 8.

I just don't believe in Rawls/Langford long term yet. But I'd keep those two over Cooks and Woodhead. Just pick up Jordan Howard as insurance for Langford if you can

If you don't believe in them long term, why would you keep them over the Saints #1 WR and a top 20 RB (especially in PPR)?

Few reasons.

1) I'm not sure what it is about Cooks, I'm just not a huge fan. I understand he is the #1, in a way that Torrey Smith is also the #1 in SF, but he doesn't feel like a #1 receiver to me. He'd be my flex guy, not my every week WR2 and certainly not a WR1. Maybe he'd prove me wrong, but he doesn't seem cut from the same type of cloth as #1 type receivers to me. And you'll get a 5th round player for him. But I guess it depends on who your other receivers are. If you have Odell and Amari Cooper, then yeah, dump Cooks already and reach for the stars.

2) Danny Woodhead offers little in the way of upside. He's a guy you never want to play. You just do, for bye week fills and injuries. I like him as a backup, but he offers no upside. He's too unpredictable for me.

As for keeping Rawls and Langford... They've proven nothing. But, they had great rookie seasons and of the 4, I think have the most upside. I think those are two guys who could become RB1s potentially. I don't see that with Cooks and certainly not with Woodhead.

But as I said earlier, I based it on not knowing the rest of your roster. If you have young RBs, then you can afford to cut a guy like Rawls or Langford in exchange for a pick.

EDIT: I realize it reads a little weird. But when I say I don't believe in those two guys long term YET, that means, they haven't proven to me that they are locked in RB1s for their respective teams. So would I want either of them as the RB1 on my fantasy team? No, but would I want them on my team as an RB2 or Flex? Heck yes.

The rest of my roster is yet to be drafted. It's a 12 Team league and everyone can keep (2) players from last season. This means that most of the Top players are all being kept, if their value is worth it.

I have the 8th pick in the draft, and will probably be left with either Gronk, Mike Evans, Amari Cooper of if they fall LeVion Bell or Charles.

In a standard league I would keep Rawls for a 10th round pick.

I'm leaning towards Cooks and Rawls.

10 teams. I picked 7th. Picked up Jones 1st. Then on the way back around I got L. Miller. ARob was third. I got Forte and Murray in the 6th and 7th rounds.

12. I'm pretty much hoping for either Gordon to return to form with his former college QB or Parker continues that development he showed late last season. RB was very slim pickings, even more so than usual, and I kept getting sniped with a RB on the top of my queue taken within 2 picks of mine. It was either Tannehill or Cutler remaining and I think with an improved OL, Tannehill can take the next leap.

If Foster is still available, I might keep an eye on that situation and I follow the Phins as my favorite team. Stud WR crew though.

My team, 12 man, PPR, I got stuck with the 12 pick.

QB- Brady, Romo

RB- David Johnson, Le'Veon Bell, Matt Jones, Jay Ajayi

WR- Jordan Matthews, Kelvin Benjamin, Pryor, Marvin Jones, Dorsett, Eli Rogers (nice fantasy sleeper imo as a slot WR in Pittsburgh)

TE- Barnridge

K- Vinaiteri

Def- Seattle

By the time I picked, all the top WR's were taken so I took David Johnson 12 and Bell 13th.

Better go get yourself a new QB. Romo has a broken bone in his back.

Out up to 10 weeks.

Just saw that. Was hoping he could give me four games (til Brady is back) before he got hurt again
