I can see why they'd want it in Oakland. SOG just can't draw. Style isn't good on the eyes. Kovalev wouldn't give a (bleep) though. He'll fight Ward in his own house with his old lady and kids as the judges. Gotta respect that.
Hold that fight in Vegas and be done with it. Vegas is close to home for both and there's no real HCA. |

Spence set himself up for Brook or Thurman. Resume temains shaky. When Chris Algeri is the best name on your file, you know you've been spoon fed. |

I still like the kid's game a lot and am very intrigued by a potential Thurman or Brook matchup. _________________ Just chill and watch the new Dynasty evolve...

Anybody watch Robert Guerrero fight? I had him losing too, but it was definitely close. _________________ Just chill and watch the new Dynasty evolve...

I gotta catch it. Haven't had the time but I DVR'd it. Well, I had the time but I guess I preferred watching 90310 reruns on POP over Guerrero. Dylan and Kelly might be getting back together again. 👍🏿 |

Okay, party people, the next middleweight mismatch fight is tomorrow! I'm seriously praying that Kell comes out of it healthy.

I think Kell will do better than people expect (KO <6 rounds). I don't see him getting taken out with one punch like glass-chin, Khan. I am excited to see what type of style Kell employs in this fight; we all know GGG is bringing the same style as always (seek and destroy). I think the Chocolatito fight is being aired later on Saturday, and I will be watching that one too! |

It's funny...as much as people say that GGG only comes forward, he's actually way more calculated than given credit for.
According to one article I read, Kell plans to employ a similar gameplan as Leonard did when fighting Hagler... ...if Kell really thinks he has as much speed and combination punching as Sugar Ray, it's gonna be an even quicker night for him (and us...well, afternoon really). _________________ Just chill and watch the new Dynasty evolve...

Kell did pretty good!
too bad GGG broke his face.
I can't believe people are complaining about the stoppage when GGG broke kell's eye socket. |

Seeing the complaints did make me chuckle.
What part of a broken bone in the face do they not understand?
And I think I agree with GGG here.
“I knew that Kell was a very good fighter,” Golovkin claimed afterwards. “But he's not a middleweight. He's just not. I respect him, because he is very good, but he's not so strong. He didn't hurt me at all.” |

yeah.. I feel like they want him to kill himself out there. Let Kell fight another day back at welterweight where he really belongs.
people want a rematch.. I'd rather not see him destroy welterweights again.. I mean he broke kell's eye socket in the first round.. and it was just a matter of time after that. |

So everyone knew Kell had a broken eye socket during the fight? Or does knowing that after the fact only then validate the stoppage? |

I don't know why there is any controversy about the stoppage. It was his own corner that stopped the fight not the ref or the ring doctor. He was going to start taking some real punishment. His cornermen care about him unlike his"fans". |

Validates the stoppage. Good corner. If Brook didn't have a broken socket, eventually Golovkin would have broken Brook down. First few rounds Golovkin really didn't apply any real pressure. That fourth and fifth round pressure started to bust Brook up. Imagine him by round eight without a busted socket.
Love that Kamegai destruction. Time for Karass to retire. About to watch the Chocolitito Cuadras fight. Cuadras looks like a younger, smaller Sergio Martinez. |

that chocolatito fight vs cuadras was great.
Had chocolatito winning since round 1, but Cuadras put up a hell of an effort. Also really enjoyed the kellerman interview with Roman after, dude seemed emotional as hell. |

There is no controversy, people who paid to be there are obviously going to be upset when the throwing of the towel seemed premature. Not everyone knew he had a broken face as the action was going on. |

They had that towel in hand before the first bell. Seeing how their welterweight champ was in with a powerful middleweight. They gave a crack at it for superstardom with a in case of emergency throw in the towel option. Now he gets credit for having some balls. |

During the fight, I thought the stoppage was bs and premature. After hearing about the broken eye socket (and that Kell was telling his corner he couldn't see clearly after round 2), I accepted the thrown towel ending.
Did anyone think GGG was hurt in this fight? I felt like Kell had him in a bit of trouble after landing an uppercut flush on his chin. Unfortunately, I think Kell's power faded as he continued to take punishment, so I do not think he would have had a chance against GGG later in the fight (sans broken eye socket).
Some of my friends thought GGG was hurt bad a couple of times, but I am not so sure. Later in the fight, GGG was taking punches to the face and beckoning Kell forward to give him more. Regardless, Kell gave GGG 4 solid rounds compared to his recent opponents who were either trying to survive (Martin Murray) or completely outmatched (Lemieux, Wade, etc.). |
