I remember posting a twitter about Randle, that he'd grown an inch or two last year.

So him coming into this season being 6'10 wouldn't be surprising. Julius at 6'10 or 6'10.5 is pretty awesome tbh. It's also helping his posture to lean up the way he has.

He will be the perfect player to play at small ball C.

In daily life, Ingram may not stand as tall as he might for predraft measurements. Take it from a fellow super skinny guy. We have less muscle mass to support our bone structure and we can slouch a bit. Julius on the other hand, with all that muscle mass, looks like he's always standing at full height.

do you know what standing reach is my friend, and how important it is?

Lol no one wants to talk about standing reach when it comes to Julius. He's right in there with guys like Blake Griffin. And taller now?

Guys like Blake Griffin? lol you realize Griffin's wingspan has been his main deficiency since he was drafted right?

Thanks for proving my point. Has he not been successful in this league even with his wingspan? Exactly.

I agree 100% on him being the small ball C. It makes perfectly good sense, the only problem is his inability to be a defensive presence on that end.

Russell + Clarkson + Deng + Nance Jr. + Randle would be pretty interesting to watch. My guess is that Black would get those minutes though.

Good if some think Randle grow taller but I don't see it.

Luke's combine height without shoes was 6'7.75" if that makes a difference: http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Luke-Walton-4760/

Sorry Thugnomoe. Thick girls are in. Keep pounding those double doubles from In N' Out girl. I'll wait...

Curves were the thing from the dawn of time to about the 80's where all of the sudden waif models were in. Now curves are back and hopefully here to stay!

Randle does look a little taller and definitely leaner since Kentucky. He posted a game winner from LSU a couple of days ago on his Twitter feed. He was the basically the same height as the guards in the court.

hell, both Luke and Julius have the same exact height measurements on Draft Express, 6'7.5" without 6'9" with shoes. So, yea, looks like he grew.

Deng is 6'7" flat with no shoes so he's definitely a bit shorter than JR and Luke.

Like Dwight when he's 32 or when he was a top 3 player, MVP candidate in his prime?

Yeah, even with the lack of heart and the lack of competition, Dwight in his prime was still an athletic freak. If he played a decade sooner, Alonzo Mourning would have taken his lunch money night in and night out, but based on his prime alone, Dwight was probably the best at his position.

So if Randle was Dwight status, or better (as the poster was claiming) then the future is more than bright for the Lakers.

Good news. Everyone should break a leg if they want to gain an extra inch or two.

Randle's jumpshot is what matters the most. That will be the difference of how much he's improved not how much he grew.

You are correct, but I think what people like about Randle's possible height gain is that he can slide to center and won't be giving up much in terms of size. He can still run the floor, handle the ball, dish it out, rebound, but now maybe can defend against true centers also. Like I said, you are correct. A jumper will open up his game tremendously, but height is always nice to have in the NBA.

You can't teach height. With height Tarik Black because the first option off the bench at center for a lot of NBA teams. With height AI possibly becomes Kobe or even Jordan.
