Ben Simmons puts on 33 lbs, now a broken foot. Related? For sure. Athletes can't add that much weight that quickly w/out impacting movement.

Is 33 pounds in a year too quickly?

In a year, yes. In the 3 months he took to do it? HELL YES. Doesn't matter if that weight is muscle, fat or any combination of the two. Unless you're 9 feet tall, it's just too much way too fast.

That's a lot of weight in a short period. I hope Ingram doesn't go that route. He's only a buck 90.

My son put on 70 pounds in 2 years, that didn't tax his body. 33 in one year doesn't seem excessive.

It wasn't 3 months, he said it was since he entered LSU which would have been in August/September of last year.

Feel for the young guy, BUT..Philly has been tanking the past years to get good draft picks. This is karma for them. Joel has yet to play after being chose 2 years ago, now this. Moral of the story, stop tanking so damn much!!!!!
