Not sure if Kyrie or Curry would want to defend Black at point guard while he's driving the lane for a monster dunk!

I still don't understand why we resigned Huertas. Both Lou (a scoring machine) and Calderon (vet elite shooter) are way better. We wasted $ and a spot on him. Unbelievable (could it be motivated by business)

Injuries

Lou CANNOT be a SG. He was ABUSED out there. He is our point guard, be it on 2nd or 3rd unit. It seems to me that A.B. is our backup shooting guard.

That leaves us with a point guard rotation of Russell/Lou or Calderon/Huertas.

The way I see it, Huertas is our 4th point guard.

You can also cross match Clarkson or Russell on the 2 and let Lou guard the 1.

But Lou & Russell is really a terrible pairing. I hate it. Clarkson and Lou probably would work better, but.... <secretly hopes for trade>

Lou and Swaggy just don't belong on this team.

POST-GAME WRAP UP:

Lakers' Giant Fourth Quarter Keys Preseason-Opening Comeback

Quote:
After trailing by 13 at halftime, Los Angeles cut the Kings’ lead to 69-64 before the start of the final period. Sacramento sent out a handful of reserves, including first-round picks Giorgios Papagiannis and Malachi Richardson, while the Lakers countered with its own first-rounder, Brandon Ingram.

But it was an undrafted third-year, Tarik Black, who set the tone as the purple and gold rolled off 14 unanswered points to begin the fourth. The recently re-signed power forward proved too athletic and energetic for the Kings’ backups, scoring six of his 15 points on a pair of back-to-back and-1 layups.

Still, Black — who averaged the fewest minutes of any Laker last year — didn’t let exhibition success cloud his vision, instead citing his strong rookie year and per-minute statistics for his belief in himself as a player.

A win, our guys played defense and anything they ran on offense was already miles ahead anything we saw last season. Sure some guys had an off night but it was gonna happen.

No complaints from me.

I see people complaining about the young players not producing, but to me it's Important for them to get the jitters out of the way in the 1st game then see them do it in the season.

I mean Paul George had like 11 points against the Pelicans and Anthony Davis was like 2-14 from the field, the preseason rust is to be expected! The young players will be ready to rumble by the season opener.

I'm just glad the defense won us the game and not the offense it's a important monitor of a making good team.

Yeah.

And above all we had no injury. I think some people just have way too high expectations.

Ditto.

We can already see players with the injury sting:

Ibaka
Reggie Jackson
Gary Harris..

I think one reason why we likely won't see to many injuries is because of our Improved analytics.. At least I hope.

Depends on how you look at defense and off ball stuff. If you only focus on scoring then yea he has only had a handful of decent games. I'm pretty sure he has only played in 30 something games though. Keep in mind if we started all our best scorers we would be the worst team in the league and they would hate each other. The team needs balance.
