The finale was well worth it, that was the best ending to a show that I have ever seen.

Been a huge fan of Freaks and Geeks since it originally aired, but there's no way it should be ahead of GOT.

It's not a very politically correct show (racial diversity, female nudity, etc.). I don't think in terms of critical approval and lists like these it will age well.

Something it has in common with the better choices on the list.

I think overall it is between The Wire and Breaking Bad for the #1 spot.

Amen!!! Mattie with children one of the most underrated shows of all time.

Season 1-5 has amazingly sharp comedic writing and acting.

And Better Call Saul is sneaking to challenge.

Yeah and it's so interesting how Roseanne is credited with showing a wife with an I-don't-give-a (you know what) attitude on TV, but it was Married With Children that was on the air first. Katey Sagal's Peg Bundy was unlike any TV wife we'd ever really seen on sitcom TV. Yeah, we've seen bumbling wives before (Lucille Ball comes to mind), but the completely undomesticated TV wife? And Al Bundy is one of the most memorable characters in TV history, and it's an absolute joke that Ed O'Neill never won an Emmy for that role. I agree that the writing was so sharp for many years, and the chemistry and timing between the actors just worked. The banter between Al and Marcy as the show progressed was pure comedy gold. And I thought the show got even funnier when Ted McGinley replaced David Garrison. It was a GREAT show.

I always felt the critics didn't like Married with Children because it wasn't a very PC show.

Biggest crime for me on that list is that WKRP: in Cincinnati didn't make the list, but was in several other lists like that before.

Sorry it didn't have penis jokes galore, but it had heart, dealt with real issues at times, was a semi-realistic look at the radio industry and more than anything else, it was funny. It's my favorite of all time, so there is a little bias here but still.

What can you say, I like ensemble casts like that.

Bye.

I'm appalled NCIS Boise, CSI Albuquerque, and [insert flaccid CBS comedy here] are not on this list.

The Saint Patricks Day episode where Venus and Johnny were doing shots was one of the funniest shows I have ever seen.

Looking through that list, I feel that I have been one of the luckiest TV viewers ever. I saw those great shows, and some that were not on the list as well. My kids don't watch TV, I think in the future great shows like these will be in a different format. The glory days of television are closing.

I don't know. Whether on demand or streaming or whatever format, I think there's a ton of great stuff out there now, and it is much easier to put together high quality TV than it once was.

Tbh, I think there are too many good shows out right now on too many venues. i can't keep up with this (bleep)!

I mean back in the day there were like 3 networks and only a handful of shows worth watching.
