Nance > Randle and he deserves more minutes. I would even start him if I were Luke.
you might be able to argue that from a play style point of view (which I think will be more and more difficult as time goes on and Randle gets more consistent), but he certainly hasn't outplayed Randle in this preseason so far.
Nance has been pretty invisible for the last 3-4 games. He along with Julius was pretty bad against the Ws on Saturday until their deep bench came in in garbage time.
The people that want him to start went deafly silent when he wasn't making much of an impact for a few straight games only to reappear again when Nance had a good one again.
Exactly, and to me he didn't even have a good game. He didn't start to play better until the game was essentially over lol.
I want Julius & Nance both to be successful to give the best chance of winning.
Yes, they will likely be our PF combination for years, so we need both to be successful.
That's a great sentiment, but its always made without deference to the realities of the finances.
I don't believe many who share it have thought out its long term implications

He should but he won't.
No he won't because he knows that what Randle can bring is much more than what Nance can bring. Nance is a poor rebounder for a big, and Mozgov is as well. We would be out rebounded like crazy if those two were in together. Nance is a much better fit with Black in the second unit.
Nance is a better defender and shooter and he fits more with Russell and Clarkson.
Nance only averaged 18.1 minutes per game this preseason. He needs way more burn in the regular season. We'll see it, too, since the main spots we're considering the training camp invites at are 4-5.
Nance said that he’d like to see the team put together a top-15 defense this year and that he personally is feeling much better after struggling with knee issues last year.
He claims that he has recovered enough this preseason to finally jump off his right leg for the first time in three years.

Great game by Larry. He did things that don't show up in the stat column, but are crucial to us winning.
AGREED!!
This kid comes to play every night. He does all the little things that a team needs in order to succeed.
He's the consummate team player and he played well last night once again.
5 point, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and solid defense and hustle 100% of the time. Not to mention several near POSTERS!
I love watching this kid play.
Coach Nick posted a video on Nance Jr from last night, and said that he thinks Larry is the best player on the team.
I would disagree with best player on the team but he is an invaluable part of our squad. He does a little bit of everything. He's that dude. _________________ Music is my medicine
He became my favorite Laker last season. He's been doing those things in Coach Nick's video since day 1 in the league. I love watching him play. He understands the subtle parts of the game that star players don't see.
Larry had a solid game last night but I counted about three open threes he totally passed up on. He's a good enough shooter to knock those down!
yup, Walton even mentioned in his post-game media conference that he thought Nance passed up some open 3's that he wanted him to take
This is Nance's first season really being a 3pt shooter, and tonight was the first real game.
I'd expect he had a little case of nerves, and after a week or two won't be hesitating as much _________________ LBJ + AD = More rings

This
The stat he fills most games is a plus in the +/- column

Agreed, he's got to take those open threes. His feel for the game though is off the charts, he does the little things at an elite level. I think he's a borderline elite defender already. When his three point shot becomes more consistent, he's going to start resembling Draymond Green.
