I'm not that high on randle, but if things go well for the lakers, Nance, JC, and Russell will be a damn good core to build around in the next 2-3 years.

Worst case scenario, a few of them are trade bait.

the nucleus is going to be Russell, Ingram and Nance. not high on Randal and JC. ideally, we would flip both of them for someone like Cousins, ideally, but not realistically.

Lakers will probably extend them all out as far as they can: gives them a chance to get NBA players at a VERY steep discount, and a little more time to evaluate. Real question is what happens when the time comes to pay up.

even if your not high on Randle, no way you let him walk without picking up that small option....he would get a lot more on the market. A player on rookie contract almost has to be "bad" or have very little talent to not exercise the option.

I will gladly eat crow if he develops his game. But right now he's just too outta control on offense and lazy on D.

Same. And let's not forget about Ingram, Black and Zubac. Nice building blocks.

Well if we ease expectations JR could be a good player. I'll give a couple of years with Luke to see if becomes a more complete player. He won't be like Kwahi who developed a 3pter in his rookie year during a lockout. JC could be a great 6th man. Trying to put projections of a Towns, DLO, Booker rise is kinda unfair.
